Seth Rollins Steals CM Punk’s World Title Win To Cash In Money in the Bank At SummerSlam 2025

Seth Rollins Steals CM Punk's World Title Win To Cash In Money in the Bank At SummerSlam 2025

Seth Rollins is back to shut down another summer of Punk.

WWE loaded up Saturday night’s card for SummerSlam 2025 and fans showed up for the biggest party of the summer. The main event also brought fans to a fever pitch as CM Punk and GUNTHER threw down.

CM Punk entered MetLife Stadium with the quest to reclaim a title that he hasn’t held in over a decade. He needed to dethrone the Ring General first, which is no small task.

This match received a big fight feel with Alicia Taylor’s ring introductions. Then they were off to feel each other out in the ring. They started slowly, but things eventually got very physical.

GUNTHER eventually punished CM Punk with precision chops as he beat the challenger down. This was a terrible situation for Punk to be in, as he got trapped in the tree of woe. After he was finally freed, GUNTHER delivered even more stiff shots to Punk.

The Second City Saint sold as GUNTHER stalked him even more. The Ring General had rapier-like speed with every chop, but CM Punk kept fighting on as he absorbed the abuse. The two traded some shots before GUNTHER nailed a big boot, and then he sent CM Punk to the apron with a few more chops and another boot for good measure.

Punk’s chest started looking purple as GUNTHER continued to beat on him. Then Punk fired off a few kicks, but it didn’t phase the champion. GUNTHER then got on top of Punk before they returned to their feet.

CM Punk was able to muscle out of a sharpshooter as he transitioned it into a figure 4. GUNTHER got out of that, and then he took control of the match again with another brutal shot. This match became GUNTHER toying with Punk as the former AEW World Champion sold the abuse.

After nailing a few clotheslines, GUNTHER didn’t move, but a kick to the jaw sent him down. Then a backheel kick from Punk sent GUNTHER down. Suddenly, GUNTHER caught Punk and pinned him for a near fall. Punk was also bleeding very badly from his chest at this point.

Punk tried to get a triangle choke in on GUNTHER, and then he locked it in. However, GUNTHER fought out of it and tried for a Boston Crab. They returned to their feet and Punk ate some more chops. Punk survived that attack, and he landed a running knee and a bulldog for a two count.

This match continued as Punk went to the top rope, but GUNTHER slammed him from the top before nailing a splash for a near fall. GUNTHER continued to destroy CM Punk with stiff chops and a clothesline that nearly took his head off. Then CM Punk caught GUNTHER and tried for a GTS, but GUNTHER caught his leg and nailed a powerbomb.

CM Punk got on his feet slowly as GUNTHER begged him to get up. Then GUNTHER nailed a dinosaur dropkick and another powerbomb for a near fall. The match continued at that point, and then GUNTHER took a bump over the announce table where he was busted open.

They returned to the ring and CM Punk took advantage to the damaged GUNTHER. He nailed a flurry of signature moves, but GUNTHER got a sleeper out of nowhere, but Punk fought out. Then Punk nailed a GTS followed by another one to get the pinfall and win the title.

We will have to see what happens for the rest of 2025, but it appeared that we were entering another Summer of Punk. MetLife Stadium erupted in cheers as CM Punk was given the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Suddenly, Seth Rollins came out with the Money in the Bank briefcase. He faked being injured and then went to the ring, beat CM Punk up with the briefcase, nailed a Stomp and won the title. MetLife Stadium erupted once again as The Visionary won the World Heavyweight Championship. That was quite an unexpected ending to the entire night, and it was certainly a damper on the idea of having another summer of Punk.

Naomi Reveals Custom Money in the Bank Briefcase After Attacking Jade Cargill on WWE SmackDown

Naomi Reveals Custom Money in the Bank Briefcase After Attacking Jade Cargill on WWE SmackDown

Naomi sent a loud message on WWE SmackDown—both with her fists and her new accessory.

During the July 4th episode, Naomi ambushed Jade Cargill backstage and revealed her custom Money in the Bank briefcase, leaving no doubt she’s ready to cash in her next opportunity.

The briefcase matches Naomi’s new attitude, featuring a bold caution theme wrapped in yellow caution tape. The design lines up with the phrase she’s been using ever since her heel turn after WWE Elimination Chamber: “Proceed with Caution.”

Naomi earned the women’s Money in the Bank briefcase at the WWE Money in the Bank event, and she hasn’t stopped reminding fans—and her rivals—that she’s carrying the most dangerous contract in the division.

The attack on Cargill also adds fuel to their heated rivalry, which dates back to November 2024 when Naomi shoved Cargill off a loading dock and onto a vehicle below. That incident sidelined Cargill until WWE Elimination Chamber, where she made her return.

Since then, the two have been on a collision course. Cargill scored a win over Naomi at WrestleMania 41, but the score isn’t settled yet. WWE confirmed that Naomi and Cargill will face off once again at WWE Evolution on July 13, with their match set under no holds barred rules.

With Naomi holding the Money in the Bank contract and Evolution just around the corner, all eyes are on what comes next for both women.

Do you think Naomi will cash in after Evolution? And does her new briefcase design fit her heel persona? Sound off in the comments and tell us what you think.

Seth Rollins Unveils New Money in the Bank Briefcase During 6/30 WWE RAW

Seth Rollins Unveils New Money in the Bank Briefcase During 6/30 WWE RAW

The June 30 episode of WWE RAW went down in Pittsburgh, and it included a lot after Night of Champions. That included a very interesting segment with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

This week on WWE RAW, GUNTHER came out to address his upcoming match with Goldberg. That led to Seth Rollins coming out with Paul Heyman as he carried a brand-new black Money in the Bank briefcase with the SR logo on it.

WWE Shop already has the new Seth Rollins Money in the Bank briefcase on sale. Also, they are selling an autographed edition while supplies last.

Once he got the microphone, Seth Rollins made it clear that he traveled to Saudi Arabia for Night of Champions because he wanted to make sure that CM Punk never wins a World Title, something he has promised for two years now. Then Seth Rollins made it very clear that GUNTHER is on his radar.

That is when CM Punk came out to run Seth Rollins off. This caused CM Punk to shove GUNTHER down, as he told him to stay out of his business. Suddenly, LA Knight showed up behind Seth Rollins in the crowd, and they battled through the concourse area.

Fans were all around Knight and Rollins as they brawled backstage. Then Rollins ran off, leaving LA Knight looking for more. We will have to see what is next, but The Visionary has new hardware while he’s Mr. Money in the Bank.

Naomi Reveals Disturbing Contents of Her Money in the Bank Briefcase

Naomi Reveals Disturbing Contents of Her Money in the Bank Briefcase

Naomi might be holding the Money in the Bank briefcase—but she just showed fans that it’s not just contracts she’s carrying.

Fresh off her big win in the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, Naomi took a darkly hilarious turn online after a fan stirred the pot with a viral tweet. The video showed Naomi’s husband Jimmy Uso getting a little too friendly with Jade Cargill, sharing laughs in a casual moment that didn’t sit right with some fans—or apparently Naomi herself.

The fan tagged Naomi and added fuel to the fire with the message: “.@TheTrinity_Fatu now Ian the one to gossip.”

Naomi responded with a video that has everyone talking. She opened her Money in the Bank briefcase on camera—and what was inside wasn’t a contract. First, she pulled out a knife. Then, she revealed a taser and turned it on while laughing maniacally.

But the chaos didn’t stop there. The briefcase also contained razor blades, a pair of sunglasses, duct tape, and perhaps most disturbingly, a miniature figurine of Jimmy Uso.

With that, Naomi made it crystal clear she’s not playing around—and she’s keeping a very close eye on Jade Cargill. While fans expected drama from her briefcase cash-in plans, no one was prepared for this kind of chaos.

Naomi hasn’t directly addressed what all of this means, but judging by her video, she’s sending a loud message: don’t mess with the MITB winner—or her man.

WWE Makes Alteration to Money in the Bank Briefcase for 6/9 WWE RAW

WWE Makes Alteration to Money in the Bank Briefcase for 6/9 WWE RAW

WWE RAW took place on June 9, 2025, at the PHX Arena in Phoenix, Arizona. The aftermath of Money in the Bank was all over the place, especially for Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins won the 2025 Money in the Bank contract, just as he promised to. Now the Visionary has a guaranteed title match whenever he wants it. This week on RAW, he was obviously there to rub salt in the wound.

This week’s WWE RAW saw John Cena and CM Punk have a tense standoff. The two agreed to have a match at Night of Champions after that. Suddenly, Seth Rollins appeared on the entrance ramp to make a big statement.

The Visionary simply held up his Money in the Bank briefcase with a big smile on his face. However, many fans noticed a change to his luggage. The CashApp logo was missing.

The sponsorship deal with CashApp and WWE was likely just for Money in the Bank. So, the briefcase holders won’t be walking around with an advertisement until they cash in. Still, that money was well spent as it got the popular financial app a lot of attention.

As we reported, WWE put a CashApp logo on this year’s Money in the Bank briefcases. They also had Fireball branding on one of the ladders.

Seth Rollins is on a roll right now as Mr Money in the Bank. At this point, Rollins is in a great spot on the roster, and his alliance with Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed only adds to the situation.

What’s your take Seth Rollins’ current push in WWE? Do you believe that he is the company’s top guy on the red brand? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
