Roman Reigns is still the World Heavyweight Champion after defeating LA Knight at Money in the Bank 2026, and the Tribal Chief made it very clear afterward that he believes his championship is now the top prize in WWE.

Following his successful title defense in New Orleans, Reigns spoke with Cathy Kelley about where his focus goes next. After another physical match, Roman said recovery comes first because he knows there is no shortage of people waiting for a shot at what he has.

“At this point in time, the main thing is just recover, try to get back to a place of health where I feel good because like you said, I got the whole world coming after me. Everybody wants what I have.”

Reigns then leaned into what comes with being champion, saying that being the center of attention is exactly where he wants to be.

“This is the position. This is the burden. This is where you want to be. You want to be center stage. You want to be the one that holds the spotlight.”

Roman took things a step further by claiming the World Heavyweight Championship has completely changed in value since he became the one carrying it. In his mind, what was once treated as a secondary prize is now the most important championship in the company.

“Before not too long ago, this was second prize. This was second fiddle. Now it’s the number one most coveted prize in the game because the Tribal Chief made it that way.”

Reigns added that the pressure that comes with holding the title is exactly what he was built for.

“But this is what it is. This is the position and this is what I was born for. Always ready.”

Roman also gave LA Knight credit after their match, even if he was not about to let Knight walk away feeling too good about himself. Reigns admitted Knight backed up a lot of the talking he had done going into the match, but said the difference was simple: Knight ran into someone better.

“He runs his mouth, but he came in there and he backed it up, but he just ran into a better competitor today.”

Reigns also made it clear that Money in the Bank was the priority for him before anything else on his schedule. He noted that he was heading straight to Los Angeles for the Street Fighter premiere, but said getting through Knight in New Orleans had to come first.

“This was priority right here. If I didn’t come to New Orleans, if I didn’t hold it down, if I didn’t whoop LA Knight… this was the prerequisite to get to Monday, and I’m just happy I was able to do it.”

Roman Reigns left Money in the Bank with his championship still intact, and if his post-show comments are any indication, he has no intention of treating this run like anything less than the center of WWE. With challengers lining up and Reigns openly calling his title the most coveted prize in the game, the target on his back just got even bigger.

Do you agree with Roman Reigns that the World Heavyweight Championship is now WWE’s top prize, and who should be next to challenge him? Leave your feedback and let us know what you think.
