Tiffany Stratton nearly cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on WWE SmackDown, and Liv Morgan was seconds away from being forced to defend her championship. Stratton showed up after Chelsea Green’s title defense against Roxanne Perez and cleared the ring before making her move. However, things didn’t go exactly as planned.
The chaos went down on the October 23, 2026 episode of WWE SmackDown, where Chelsea Green defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez. Green had her hands full throughout the match, especially with Raquel Rodriguez getting involved behind the referee’s back.
Raquel pushed Green off the turnbuckles while the referee was checking on Perez, allowing Perez to hit a Shining Wizard for a near fall. IYO SKY eventually came out to confront Raquel, leading to another confrontation at ringside. Despite the interference, Green managed to counter Perez’s Pop Rox and hit UnprettiHER to retain her championship.
The trouble wasn’t over for Green. Liv Morgan attacked her immediately after the match, with Raquel joining in. IYO tried to fight them off, but Perez helped turn the numbers back in their favor as the group continued beating down Green and SKY.
That’s when Tiffany Stratton’s music hit. Stratton rushed to the ring carrying her Money in the Bank briefcase and went after Perez, Morgan, and Rodriguez. IYO also got involved, hitting Raquel with a missile dropkick as the two women fought back against the attack.
Things got even more interesting when Morgan tried using the briefcase against Stratton. IYO stopped her with a strike, allowing Stratton to land a kick of her own.
Stratton then handed her briefcase to the referee, appearing ready to officially cash in her Money in the Bank contract. However, she decided to hit Morgan with the briefcase first before going through with the cash-in.
That decision cost her the opportunity. While Stratton was discussing the cash-in with the referee, Perez and Rodriguez managed to drag Morgan out of the ring and get her to safety. The match never officially started, meaning Stratton still has her Money in the Bank contract.
Stratton made it clear that she’s looking for an opportunity to take Morgan’s Women’s World Championship, but The Judgment Day managed to protect their champion this time. With Morgan also scheduled to face Green at Crown Jewel, Stratton’s involvement could create another problem for both champions.
Do you think Tiffany Stratton should have cashed in immediately instead of attacking Liv Morgan with the briefcase first? Let us know what you think in the comments.
