David Finlay & Clark Connors Destroy Adam Copeland And Christian Cage On May 27 AEW Dynamite

David Finlay & Clark Connors Destroy Adam Copeland And Christian Cage On May 27 AEW Dynamite

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage got destroyed on the May 27 AEW Dynamite just moments after trying to celebrate their big tag title win.

The AEW World Tag Team Champions came to the ring following their brutal Double or Nothing victory over FTR and started joking around about bringing back their classic five-second pose from 25 years ago. Copeland even handed disposable cameras out to fans before things completely fell apart.

Out of nowhere, David Finlay and Clark Connors rushed the ring and started beating the hell out of both men. The attack got nasty fast. At one point, Finlay and Connors trapped Christian’s hand inside the steel steps and smashed it before continuing to beat down both champions in the ring. By the time it was over, Copeland and Christian were completely laid out as Finlay and Connors stood tall.

AEW wasted zero time setting up new enemies for the tag champs after their war with FTR, and Finlay and Connors definitely made an impact with the way they destroyed both guys.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Tear The Ring Apart To Win AEW Tag Team Titles At Double or Nothing

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Tear The Ring Apart To Win AEW Tag Team Titles At Double or Nothing

AEW brought Double or Nothing to Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, with several championships on the line. While the AEW World Title match had a stipulation attached to it, the AEW World Tag Team Championship also came with one of its own, as FTR defended the titles against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in an “I Quit” match.

FTR entered as champions after retaining the titles against The Conglomeration on the final Dynamite and Collision before the show. Copeland and Cage came in trying to end their issue with FTR, but there was more on the line than the titles, since a loss would mean Copeland and Cage could never team again.

This match kicked off the pay-per-view, and they didn’t hold back. Weapons got involved eventually, as ladders and chairs were used. Adam Copeland set up a couple of tables in preparation for what was next. Stokely Hathaway also got involved as well, which gave FTR an advantage.

A toolbox was brought into the ring, and Dax Harwood got a wrench job on his nose, but he didn’t say that he quit. Eventually, Beth Phoenix came out, and the ring was dismantled.

Although this was the first match of the night, they literally tore the ring apart. Then the tables were set on fire, and they were destroyed with a crazy high spot.

Eventually, Beth Copeland got Spike, the nail-covered board, and he gave it to Adam Copeland to use on Dax before he said he quit. That meant new AEW World Tag Team Champions, and it was a wild match that got them there.

Adam Copeland Suffers Unfortunate Wardrobe Malfunction at AEW Double or Nothing

Adam Copeland Suffers Unfortunate Wardrobe Malfunction At AEW Double Or Nothing

AEW brought Double or Nothing to Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, with multiple titles on the line, including FTR defending the AEW World Tag Team Titles against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in an “I Quit” match.

The match was a brutal one, with everyone bringing their A-Game to the pay-per-view. Weapons were brought out, and then Adam Copeland suffered a very unfortunate wardrobe malfunction.

Fans may remember that Brock Lesnar famously ripped his trunks in a very intimate area in WWE a while ago. It seems that Adam Copeland was taking notes, because his gear was ripped open in a very revealing area at Double or Nothing.

This tag team match brought out a lot, and they even dismantled the ring. Through it all, Adam Copeland kept on going, and it doesn’t seem that his torn gear affected that at all.

We will have to see what happens with Adam Copeland in AEW from this point on. He may bring this up in a promo later on. Only time will tell how things pan out. We just hope that Adam Copeland has a spare set of pants handy backstage.

Adam Copeland Puts Tag Team Career On The Line With Double Or Nothing Challenge

Adam Copeland Puts Tag Team Career On The Line With Double Or Nothing Challenge

Adam Copeland just raised the stakes in a huge way, issuing a challenge that could end his tag team run for good.

During a backstage promo on the April 22 episode of AEW Dynamite, Copeland directly called out FTR and made it clear that he and Christian Cage want another shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships. But this wasn’t just a standard title challenge — Copeland added a major stipulation that immediately changed the stakes.

While addressing FTR, Copeland laid out the kind of match he wants and made it clear they aren’t looking for a traditional bout. Adam Copeland proposed that he and Christian face FTR in a New York Street Fight at AEW Double Or Nothing. Adam Copeland stated that if he and Christian lose to FTR at Double Or Nothing, they will retire as a tag team.

That stipulation instantly turns the potential match into one of the highest-stakes tag team bouts possible, especially considering the long history between Copeland, Christian, and FTR.

FTR has yet to respond to the challenge, but the pressure is now firmly on them to decide whether they’ll accept the terms. With Double Or Nothing approaching, this could quickly become one of the most talked-about matches on the card if it’s made official.

Do you think FTR should accept Copeland and Christian’s challenge, or would it be smarter for them to avoid a match with that kind of career-ending stipulation?

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Return For Revenge Against FTR At AEW Revolution 2026

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Return For Revenge Against FTR At AEW Revolution 2026

AEW Revolution delivered a brutal tag team title match at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on March 15, but the biggest moment came after the bell when Adam Copeland and Christian Cage made a shocking return.

FTR defended the AEW World Tag Team Championship against The Young Bucks in one of the most personal matches on the card. The bout came after The Young Bucks earned the opportunity by winning a three-way match on the February 11 episode of Dynamite.

The rivalry intensified weeks later when FTR attacked The Young Bucks’ family during the February 21 episode of Collision. The confrontation included their younger brother Malachi and turned the already heated feud into something even more personal.

The Revolution title match lived up to the tension leading into it. Both teams battled all over the arena in a physical contest that quickly turned bloody. Nick Jackson was busted open early during a wild brawl on the outside of the ring, and later in the match Dax Harwood was also left bleeding as the fight continued. With blood covering the ring, the crowd inside Crypto.com Arena became even more invested in the action as both teams traded huge moves and near falls.

At one point, The Young Bucks locked FTR in simultaneous sharpshooters in the center of the ring, nearly forcing the champions to tap out. Later in the match, Nick Jackson stunned the crowd by kicking out of a massive Shatter Machine that looked like it could have ended the match. The Bucks’ family was seated at ringside and celebrated when Nick Jackson barely got his foot on the bottom rope to break up a pinfall at the last possible moment.

Despite the dramatic near falls, the champions eventually regained control. FTR hit another devastating Shatter Machine to secure the win and retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship. However, the chaos did not end there.

Immediately after the match, Adam Copeland and Christian Cage made their way to the ring in a surprise return that caught the crowd off guard. The two veterans stormed the ring and attacked FTR along with Stokely, taking out the champions after their grueling title defense. Once the ring was cleared, Copeland and Christian picked up the AEW World Tag Team Titles and held them up as a statement.

The Young Bucks then returned to the ring and stood face-to-face with the returning duo, creating a tense moment that suggested a new chapter may be starting in the tag team division. With Copeland and Christian now back in the mix and tensions already boiling between multiple teams, the AEW tag team landscape may be about to get even more unpredictable.

What did you think about Adam Copeland and Christian Cage returning at AEW Revolution after the tag title match? Do you want to see them challenge for the AEW Tag Team Titles next? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Adam Copeland Reflects on 6 Years Since WWE Return

Adam Copeland Reflects on 6 Years Since WWE Return

Adam Copeland — formerly known as Edge in WWE — is taking a moment to look back.

Six years to the day after his shocking return at the 2020 Royal Rumble, Copeland hit pause to reflect on what that comeback meant — and how far he’s come since. In a message shared to social media, Copeland opened up about his wrestling journey post-retirement, and what the past six years have meant to him.

“So, I didn’t realise that today is six years to the day since I came back at the Royal Rumble. For me, every second after that first ‘You Think You Know Me’ at the Rumble in Houston has been a success. You know the story, I wasn’t supposed to do this, yet here we are six years later. If you had told me six years ago that I’d still be doing this after six years I would have thought you were a little crazy. I’ve been so lucky.”

Copeland was forced to retire in 2011 due to serious neck injuries, ending what many thought would be his last match ever. But in 2020, he stunned the WWE Universe by entering the Rumble at #21 — his first match in nearly a decade. And now? He’s doing it all over again, on his own terms.

“I feel like I got my dream career twice. I got to do it the first time, had to retire for nine years, then get it back again. That’s good stuff, but I’m also a realist and I know I’m coming close to the end here. So, hopefully you’ve enjoyed this ride, if you haven’t, whatever, and if you have, great. Little bit more to go. Thank you, thanks for reminding me. Just reflecting on what has been a four-decade career now.”

The Rated-R Superstar made another major move in 2023 when he joined AEW — unlocking an entirely new chapter with new opponents, rivalries, and goals.

“With everything that I did in WWE and then to move to AEW with a whole fresh slate of new opponents, and for six years now just been wrestling a lot of the talent I never thought I’d get to but have been able to get in there with. It’s been a blast, and I’m at a stage in life where I don’t do it unless it is a blast. Thanks.”

From WWE legend to AEW star, Copeland is soaking up every moment — with a clear eye on the finish line.

What do you think — has Adam Copeland’s second run been better than his first? Should he retire soon or keep going while it’s still fun? Sound off in the comments and let us know how you feel.
