Stephanie Vaquer may have lost the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank, but it’s what happened after the match that’s now getting fans talking.
As footage circulating online shows, Vaquer was struggling to walk after the match and needed referee Jessika Carr to help her make her way to the back. Throughout the video, Vaquer was visibly limping and at one point even had to stop and sit down on the steel steps before continuing backstage with assistance.
The footage has led to immediate concern among fans, especially after Vaquer appeared to land awkwardly during the match. Earlier in the bout, she hit a huge crossbody to the outside, but the landing didn’t look clean, and it’s possible that’s when she suffered the apparent injury.
Despite the awkward landing, Vaquer continued wrestling through the remainder of the match before ultimately losing the Women’s World Championship to Liv Morgan. However, once the cameras stopped rolling, it became clear she was having difficulty putting weight on her leg.
At this point, there’s no official word from WWE on Vaquer’s condition, and it’s unknown whether the injury is legitimate or simply the result of the punishment she took during the match. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious, but the footage has certainly raised concerns following an already brutal title match.
