Netflix has made another change to a WWE replay, and this time it happened during one of the biggest matches of the year.
During the replay of Roman Reigns’ World Heavyweight Championship defense against LA Knight at Money in the Bank, Netflix swapped camera angles to hide a moment that aired live without issue. In the original broadcast, LA Knight flipped off Reigns during the match. Replay viewers never see it. Instead, Netflix cuts to a different camera angle right before the gesture, making it disappear entirely.
It’s another example of Netflix cleaning up WWE content after the fact. This isn’t the first time the streamer has done it either. On the September 28 episode of RAW, Netflix censored the moment Jacob Fatu was hit by a car by briefly cutting the screen to black before the impact. The replay also muted the sound of Royce Keys slamming an SUV door during the same segment.
That’s on top of several other edits over the last few months. Netflix has blurred blood during multiple RAW attacks, censored profanity, trimmed dialogue from promos, and even changed camera angles to hide a fan giving Roman Reigns the middle finger during his entrance.
Now Money in the Bank has joined the list. Nothing about the outcome of the match changed, but replay viewers got a different version than those who watched live. By changing the camera angle to hide LA Knight’s middle-finger gesture, Netflix added another WWE moment to its growing list of post-show edits.
