CM Punk was famously fired from AEW after a backstage altercation with Jack Perry. That was the final straw with Tony Khan’s company, but could CM Punk find open arms elsewhere?

We previously reported that Impact Wrestling is intrigued by the idea of making an offer to CM Punk. There is also the possibility that he could show up in the NWA and challenge for their World Title.

During Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray said that Impact Wrestling should 100% sign CM Punk. He is a free agent, and a proven attention grabber as well.

“1000% I’d hire him. I think Punk needs to be in an environment that he is completely comfortable in, and I know for a fact he was not completely comfortable in the WWE and then whatever went down in AEW.” By Bully Ray’s estimation, Punk is a valuable asset to all of professional wrestling.”

“If you were to put CM Punk in Impact Wrestling. Impact’s stock would go up… I think that Impact and Punk could do some great business together and bring some eyes to the product.”

Ringside News exclusively reported that CM Punk wants fans to think that WWE is an option for him, but that’s not the case. He made “desperate attempts” at WWE return a few years ago, and WWE had to tell FOX that he needed to be “controlled” on the WWE Backstage show, where he had a gig as an analyst.

That being said, Kevin Nash absolutely destroyed the idea of CM Punk returning to WWE. It appears that WWE isn’t an option for the Second City Savior, but crazy things have gone down in pro wrestling best. That being said, it’s not likely at all.

Impact Wrestling could give CM Punk a platform to perform, and he seemed to get along with the roster. They didn’t kick him out when he showed up backstage at one of their Chicago television taping event, and he even played some cards with members of the roster.
