CM Punk was spotted backstage at WWE RAW couple of weeks ago as the company brought the show to Chicago. Punk wasn’t done surprising fans by attending pro wrestling events, because he also stopped by Impact Wrestling’s television taping event last night.

It is interesting to note that CM Punk was not ejected from the backstage area at Impact Wrestling. In fact, he got to stick around and speak to a lot of people. The same cannot be said for his time backstage at WWE RAW, because Vince McMahon made the call to eject him in a hurry.

PW Insider noted that CM Punk got to speak to several people on the Impact Wrestling roster. Several of those people also had a chance to tell CM Punk how much he meant to their careers.

As we noted last night, CM Punk was backstage at last night’s Impact Wrestling TV taping in Chicago. PWInsider.com is told Punk was well received and spent a lot of time most of the night talking with talents, several of whom told him how he impacted or inspired their career.

CM Punk surprised fans all over when he showed up at the Impact Wrestling event in Chicago. This should come as no real surprise for a lot of people to see CM Punk at Chicago wrestling events at this point, because it seems that he is making himself a regular face at events in his city.

The Impact Wrestling television taping event was a big one this week. Mercedes Mone also showed up to support Naomi on Friday night. We’ll have to see what’s next for Impact Wrestling, but they certainly scored more headlines than usual with their television taping event this week.
