Ric Flair Urged to Consider What He’s Putting Charlotte Through After Recent Hospitalization

Vince Russo thinks Ric Flair needs to start thinking a lot more about how his behavior affects Charlotte Flair. After Flair’s latest string of incidents in Florida, Russo says the 77-year-old WWE Hall of Famer needs to put his family first because Charlotte is the one who keeps getting stuck dealing with the fallout.

Speaking on the Coach and Bro Show, Russo addressed Flair’s recent antics and argued that the bigger issue isn’t simply what Flair chooses to do with his own life. He believes Flair should be considering what those decisions put his daughter through.

“What he’s gotta do is put his family first. I mean, it’s that simple. He has to take into consideration what he is putting her through. And again, I don’t know if Ric takes that into consideration when he says the things he says and when he does the things he does. It just seems like Charlotte is the one having to put out fires.”

Russo then pointed to Flair’s family situation, noting that David Flair has stayed away from the spotlight for years while Reid Flair passed away in 2013. In Russo’s view, that leaves Charlotte as the family member who continually has to face questions whenever something involving her father becomes public.

“Again, he should be conscious of that and be aware of that — he’s got a daughter. Because David’s out of the limelight for years, Reid passed away, so there’s just one daughter that is going to constantly be answering for him, and he should take that into consideration. Because she’s probably worrying about him 24/7, Coach. It’s a full-time job, and I’m sure it is for her as well.”

Russo’s comments come after an eventful few days for Flair in Tampa. On October 23, Flair suffered a nasty fall outside an establishment near his Florida home that left him bleeding from his head with an injured eye and resulted in an overnight stay at Tampa General Hospital.

That accident was already concerning because Flair had recently revealed that he was dealing with a blood clot in his leg. The issue forced him to cancel an autograph appearance in Seattle, and Flair had said he was set to undergo a procedure for the clot.

There have also been claims about Flair’s behavior during his nights out around Tampa. Ringside News readers have alleged that Flair regularly makes comments toward women at The Pearl, with one reader claiming men have occasionally stepped in before Flair’s security calmed things down.

Another reader who said they were present before Flair’s October 23 fall claimed Flair approached a woman, tapped her on the forehead and made a remark about Botox. There is no indication that the alleged interaction had anything to do with Flair’s later fall.

Flair was released from the hospital on October 24, but he didn’t stay away from his usual hangout for long. He returned to the establishment that same evening, just one day after the fall sent him to the hospital.

That’s the part of the situation Russo clearly believes Flair needs to look at differently. His concern is that whatever Flair chooses to say or do publicly doesn’t necessarily end with him, because Charlotte may be left worrying about her father and answering questions about him afterwards.
