Ric Flair is dealing with another serious health issue, and this one is forcing him to cut back on travel. The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that he currently has a blood clot in his leg and will undergo a procedure after doctors warned him to limit how long he spends traveling.

Flair shared the news on Twitter while apologizing for canceling his scheduled appearance at Washington State Horror Con in Seattle. He said doctors have restricted him to trips lasting no longer than three to four hours, putting Seattle out of reach for the time being.

“I Want To Sincerely Apologize To My Agent, Steve Solomon, Washington State Horror Con @wahorrorcon, @bigeventny, And Especially All My Fans In Seattle For Having To Cancel My Scheduled Appearance.

“Unfortunately, I Am Dealing With A Blood Clot In My Leg, And My Doctors Have Limited My Travel To 3–4 Hours. Seattle Falls Outside That Range, And As Disappointed As I Am, I Have To Put My Health And Recovery First.”

Flair isn’t downplaying the situation either. The Nature Boy acknowledged that blood clots can become life-threatening and made it clear he’s taking his doctors’ advice seriously.

“Blood Clots Are Extremely Serious And Can Be Life-Threatening. We Have Seen This Recently With Jalen Hurts And The Complications Involving Blood Clots In His Lungs. It Is A Reminder That This Is Not Something To Take Lightly, And I Must Follow Medical Advice.”

The good news is that Flair already has a treatment plan in place. He revealed that he’s scheduled for a procedure on the affected vein, which his doctors believe could eventually allow him to travel more freely again.

“I’m Scheduled To Have A Procedure To Strip The Affected Vein, Which My Doctors Expect Will Allow Me To Be Cleared For More Travel Afterward.”

Flair finished by apologizing again to the fans who were expecting to see him in Seattle. Despite his disappointment over having to cancel, he’s putting his recovery ahead of his appearance schedule.

“Please Know This Decision Was Not Made Lightly. I Am Truly Sorry For The Inconvenience And Disappointment, And I Am Incredibly Grateful For Your Patience, Understanding, And Continued Support.

“I Look Forward To Getting Healthy And Seeing You All Down The Road. Thank You For The Love And Support. Much Love, Ric Flair”

This isn’t Flair’s first serious health concern in recent years. In 2025, he revealed that he was battling melanoma and later dealt with a torn rotator cuff that forced him to leave an AEW Dynamite taping before appearing on the broadcast.

For now, Flair’s focus is once again on his health rather than keeping every appearance on his schedule. He’s already got a procedure lined up, and he’s hoping that taking care of the blood clot will eventually get him cleared to hit the road again.
