Jey Uso is now directly responding to the backlash surrounding his recent “best in the world” claims — and he clearly thinks the criticism says more about fans than it does about him.

Jey Uso took to his Instagram Story and responded to fans who were upset after he called himself the best world entertainment wrestler in the world. Jey made it clear he doesn’t understand why people are so angry about his confidence.

“Why yall be so mad tho?? Ain’t my fault I’m good tho.”

That response came after Jey previously declared himself the best with a sports entertainment twist: “I’m the Best world entertainment wrestler in the world.” Before that, Jey also fired back at critics on May 14 by saying he has been performing at the highest level for nearly two decades.

“I’m really the best in the game rn. At the highest level. Close to 2 decades…. But yall know Abraham Lincoln freed slaves tho??”

Jey’s confidence has been a major talking point since his singles push last year. He won the Royal Rumble, captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41, and still faced criticism from people questioning his place at the top of WWE.

He was also named “Most Overrated Wrestler” in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s 2025 Year-End Awards, which he brushed off with another short Instagram Story response: “Ya’ll really love me.”

At this point, Jey is clearly leaning into the criticism instead of running from it. Whether fans agree with him or not, he believes his longevity, résumé, crowd connection, and current WWE position speak for themselves.
