Tony Schiavone Fires Back At Reports Of Internal Problems In AEW

Things have been amiss in AEW as of late. On top of several injuries to their stars in the past few months, there have been issues backstage as well. Tony Schiavone also commented on the rumors in an attempt to debuk them

Ringside News exclusively reported that Tony Khan’s unprofessional behavior backstage in AEW was problem. He even had to beg a high-ranking staffer not to quit the company over his outbursts during the live shows.

More recently, CM Punk cut shoot promo on Adam Page, which made him have backstage heat in AEW. It was said that top AEW stars are at their breaking point over backstage drama.

While speaking on What Happened When, Tony Schiavone commented on his new responsibilities and reports regarding the backstage mood in AEW. He debunked the rumors while he was at it.

(I) enjoy my job, enjoy my new responsibilities with the company. They are challenging, but those are challenges that I readily accepted when I took the job. I’m seeing a whole new part of wrestling and wrestlers that I didn’t see before.

Yeah, I think so. There are some challenges, as you know, and of course the internet is going crazy about this or that. I’m not going to get into it because…I’m going to say this right now, things are not as bad as bullshit people on the internet would say. Not even close to it. We’ve got some things in place now that I think are going to make us better than ever.”

We will have to wait and see whether the backstage environment in the company will get better or not. Things simply do not seem to be going well for AEW at this moment. If anything, those within the company are not going to admit to any issues.
