AEW has a roster full of hungry stars, but sometimes that means injuries are right around the corner. Now we have an update on two injured stars.

Darius Martin is being missed by his fans in AEW programming for the last months now. While the star was away from AEW TV since while, fans later came to know through reports that the star got into an accident. Malakai Black broke the news of Martin’s accident in an interview.

Martin had his ACL surgery, returned in March 2022, only to get injured again. He is recovering after that car accident, but AEW has not put out direct word on when fans will be able to see their favorite AEW superstar back in action.

Fightful’s Sean Ross revealed that a source from AEW gave him the rundown on when they expect him to come back in action. The source said that there’s hope that Martin might come back before 2022 ends. However, that is not guaranteed.

Lee Johnson is another one of the AEW stars who are out of commission due to an injury. Johnson last appeared in AEW programming in early May. It was revealed that Johnson is going to keep missing time in the ring throughout the summer.

Johnson is suffering from a knee injury. Since he has to regain his total functionality, he will take the upcoming few months to get back to a 100%. AEW superstar Bryan Danielson is unfortunately also in the same boat. We hope that they make a speedy recovery and fans can enjoy seeing them in action very soon.
