CM Punk’s WrestleMania 42 weekend didn’t end inside Allegiant Stadium — it spilled into the MGM Grand hours later, where multiple confrontations were reported involving fans. With video footage, police involvement, and new claims surfacing, here’s the full timeline of what’s been reported so far.

The first major moment fans saw happened near the elevators at the MGM Grand, where a fan filmed Bayley hugging AJ Lee in the lobby. That moment led directly to the viral confrontation involving Punk.

Video obtained by TMZ showed Punk stepping into the situation and knocking the fan’s phone down before security rushed in to separate everyone involved. The fan later said publicly that he didn’t want legal action — only an apology.

“I want an apology -- shake my hand -- I'm not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology.”

But according to Billi Bhatti, who said someone he personally knows filmed and helped sell the viral video, that confrontation may not have been the first incident of the night. Bhatti described how tensions inside the hotel built throughout WrestleMania weekend, eventually leading to multiple confrontations.

“And this all came to a head with an incident with two incidents in one night… But no. CM Punk decided to attack not one, but two wrestling fans on the same night.”

According to Bhatti, the earlier alleged confrontation happened inside the lobby before the viral video moment.

“The first one came as he was coming through the lobby… he'd already gone past him, so he tapped him on the shoulder. Punk responded by flat out slapping this guy around the face.”

Bhatti said that first alleged incident was not captured by fans but was recorded on hotel surveillance.

“Now, the other incident wasn't filmed by the guy who got slapped across the face, but CCTV did capture both incidents.”

Police were called to the hotel and reviewed the surveillance footage from both situations. Bhatti said authorities determined only one of the incidents could potentially lead to action.

“They made it clear… we cannot arrest CM Punk for incident number one, but we can take action for incident number two.”

The story took another turn after the viral video spread online. According to Bhatti, he later spoke directly with the fan involved in the filmed incident, who claimed the fallout went beyond the confrontation itself. He later added that the fan told him the situation had already resulted in termination

“I've actually, like, spoken to the guy since… the guy actually believes… that he lost his job as a result of the video surfacing.”

.“He didn't get nothing from it. He got fired from his job. So he tells me the next day.”

Bhatti also explained that the fan initially hoped to resolve things without pressing charges, instead wanting a direct response from Punk.

“He wanted CM Punk to come out and make a public apology… and he wanted all the fans to see him receive a public apology.”

At this point, no confirmed charges have been announced, and the situation remains unresolved as more details continue to surface. With reports of two separate incidents, police involvement, surveillance footage, and now claims of job loss, the full picture of what happened inside the MGM Grand is still evolving.
