CM Punk isn’t facing legal trouble after his WrestleMania 42 weekend incident — but the fan involved still wants something from him.
Following the situation at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, where Punk knocked a fan’s phone down after the person was filming near AJ Lee and Bayley, the situation is not expected to lead to any legal action.
According to the fan involved, there are no plans to sue Punk or involve law enforcement over the incident. Instead, he says he just wants a simple apology after the heated moment.
“I want an apology -- shake my hand -- I'm not gonna sue him or put him in jail. I just want an apology.”
The fan, who chose to remain anonymous, acknowledged that the moment happened during a stressful WrestleMania weekend for Punk, especially after his loss to Roman Reigns in the WrestleMania 42 Night Two main event.
The incident itself didn’t turn into a physical altercation, as security stepped in quickly before things could escalate any further. At this point, the situation appears unlikely to go any further legally, leaving the ball in Punk’s court on whether he responds to the fan’s request.
Do you think CM Punk should apologize to the fan after the incident, or was his reaction understandable given the situation? Let us know your thoughts.
