TNA’s interest in the Wyatt Sicks may already be moving beyond just interest. A new report says creative plans are being discussed for two former members, and their debuts could happen sooner than expected.
According to PWInsider, there are rumblings within TNA that several former Wyatt Sicks members could arrive as early as the company’s next set of Impact tapings in Texas. Two names, in particular, have started popping up behind the scenes.
According to the report, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy are the two former WWE stars currently being discussed in creative pitches ahead of the upcoming tapings. It was noted that there is no word yet on the rest of the group or whether any deals have officially been finalized.
The update builds on a report from earlier this week, which revealed that TNA had expressed serious interest in bringing in multiple former Wyatt Sicks members after the group’s WWE release. At the time, it wasn’t clear who TNA was targeting, with Uncle Howdy (Taylor Rotunda), Joe Gacy, Dexter Lumis, and Erick Rowan all being mentioned as possibilities.
This is the first report to narrow the list down to specific names. If the current creative discussions lead somewhere, Lumis and Gacy could end up being the first former Wyatt Sicks members to walk through the door.
It would also fit with what has been said about the group since their WWE departures. Back in May, Sean Ross Sapp said he believed the former Wyatt Sicks were more likely to work places like TNA and MLW than AEW, even as others around TNA expected them to head elsewhere.
For now, all eyes shift to the next round of Impact tapings. If the reports are accurate, TNA fans may not have to wait much longer to find out whether Lumis and Gacy really are the first pieces of the former Wyatt Sicks to land in the promotion.
Would Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy be the right first additions for TNA, or would you rather see the entire Wyatt Sicks arrive together? Let us know in the comments.
