Sami Callihan Admits Things Have Been 100% Weird in TNA

Sami Callihan is backing up what Nic Nemeth already hinted at — something in TNA has felt off.

Nemeth recently said the TNA locker room was one of the reasons he signed with the company, but admitted the last couple of months have felt “weird” backstage. Now Callihan, fresh off his own TNA exit, says Nemeth was not imagining things. While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Callihan said TNA has all the pieces to be something much bigger, but the company is not putting them together the right way.

“I think there’s all the ingredients, but I don’t think the recipe has been done right. And that’s not sh****** on Tommy or anyone else. Like, that’s just, I don’t like it.”

Then Sami Callihan directly agreed with Nich Nemeth’s comments about the locker room feeling strange: “I saw that Nemeth on here said, ah, things have been kind of weird in the locker. 100 percent, 100%.”

That is a pretty loud confirmation from someone who was just working behind the scenes. His issue seemed bigger than that. In his view, TNA has talent, a TV platform, and enough momentum to be stronger than it is right now. The problem, according to him, is that the company needs better alignment behind the scenes.

“And it’s people hate anything or anything else. TNA could be so much better if the synergy could align properly.”

This comes during a rough stretch for TNA. Dreamer is gone from creative, Callihan is out, Delirious is now the main creative voice, and several names have left the company in recent weeks. Nemeth tried to keep his comments measured, but even he admitted the backstage mood is not what it was a few months ago.

Bottom line, Callihan says TNA has the ingredients, but not the right recipe. And if both he and Nemeth are saying the locker room has felt weird, fans are going to wonder just how much is really changing behind the curtain.
