Jey Uso won’t be making the trip to Fanatics Fest NYC after all.
Just a day before he was scheduled to appear, Fanatics quietly announced that the WWE star has been pulled from Sunday’s event. No explanation accompanied the change, and Jey has yet to address it himself.
That immediately got fans asking the same question: what happened? Right now, nobody outside WWE and Fanatics seems to know. The company simply updated the appearance schedule, leaving one of the weekend’s advertised guests off the lineup without any further details.
The cancellation comes after Jey spent much of July in the spotlight for reasons outside the ring. Earlier this month, court records revealed that Takecia Fatu had filed for divorce, bringing an end to their 12-year marriage. Jey later broke his silence with a brief Instagram Stories post.
“I’m a grown ass man. And leave her TF out of it too, lames.”
The filing quickly became one of wrestling’s biggest talking points, with fans even turning Jey’s entrance theme into the latest running joke online by filling the YouTube comments with divorce references.
Whether any of that has anything to do with his Fanatics Fest cancellation is impossible to say. Fanatics hasn’t offered a reason, Jey hasn’t commented, and WWE has remained silent. Until someone does, fans expecting to see “Main Event” Jey Uso in New York this weekend are left with one unanswered question after another.
