Jacob Fatu’s injury scare is now looking more serious, and the timing could not be worse for WWE, as the Samoan Werewolf is legitimately hurt.

According to PWInsider, Fatu was legitimately hurt during WWE’s live event in Liverpool after his match against Solo Sikoa. He had already been seen limping backstage following the Liverpool Street Fight, but now the report states the injury was not just routine selling. It was also noted that Fatu was seen limping to the back after the match, though there is still no clear word on whether his upcoming Clash in Italy match will be affected.

The timing is a major concern because Fatu is scheduled to challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE World Championship at Clash in Italy on May 31. With the event just days away, any legitimate injury could become a major issue for one of WWE’s biggest advertised matches.

The concern started after WWE’s May 28 live event in Liverpool, where Fatu faced Solo Sikoa in a Liverpool Street Fight. Fans in attendance said Fatu appeared to land awkwardly and was in visible pain after the match. PWInsider had initially reported that Fatu was seen limping after the bout but had not yet confirmed whether he was selling or actually hurt.

“Jacob Fatu was seen limping last night after his bout with Solo Sikoa at the WWE live event in Liverpool. We have not yet heard whether he was just selling or not.”

Now, with the latest update indicating that Fatu was legitimately hurt, all eyes are on WWE to see whether the Roman Reigns match remains intact. For now, there is no confirmed change to Clash in Italy, but Fatu’s status has suddenly become one of the biggest questions heading into the show.

Jacob Fatu may still make it to Turin for his title match, but this injury update adds real uncertainty at the worst possible time. WWE has not announced any change, so fans will have to wait and see whether Fatu is cleared in time.

Do you think WWE should keep Jacob Fatu in the Clash in Italy title match if he’s banged up, or should they make a late change to protect him? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
