AEW Double or Nothing was a packed night in Queens, but the show’s late ending created a rough situation for fans trying to get home.

The pay-per-view took place at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, and the show was completely sold out. The event featured MJF winning back the AEW World Championship from Darby Allin, Kyle Fletcher returning and betraying Konosuke Takeshita, and several other major moments.

However, after the show ended, some fans ran into a serious problem getting home. One fan took to Twitter and uploaded a video showing a large crowd stuck outside after the event, claiming exits were shut down and there was no train access available.

The fan directly asked for help while tagging the show: “Ummmm pls help us #AEWDoN” The video showed tons of fans stranded after the event, leading the same fan to add that the situation was confusing and getting worse: “This is so bad, I’m confused”

The issue appears to have been tied to Double or Nothing running extremely late, which created problems for fans depending on public transportation after the show. AEW pay-per-views have often been known for long runtimes, but this time the length of the show had a direct impact on people trying to leave the venue safely and get home.

Double or Nothing may have been a major success from an attendance and storyline standpoint, but the post-show travel mess quickly became a talking point online. A sold-out crowd is great for AEW, but if fans are left stranded afterwards, that becomes a problem the company and venue may need to address going forward.

Do you think AEW needs to shorten its pay-per-views to avoid issues like this, or should venues plan better for late-night exits? Share your thoughts and feedback in the comments.
