AJ Ferrari is now facing the next stage of his Nebraska legal case, and a judge has made it clear he will not be getting out without a serious bond.

According to First Alert 6, the former WWE NIL signee was arraigned in Lancaster County Court on July 8, one day after Douglas County deputies arrested him on an outstanding warrant. Ferrari is facing charges of third-degree assault by strangulation or suffocation of a pregnant woman, third-degree domestic violence assault, and first-degree false imprisonment.

Prosecutors wanted Ferrari’s bond set at $250,000 because of the seriousness of the allegations. His attorney pushed back, arguing Ferrari was actually in Nebraska to turn himself in when deputies detained him.

The defense also claimed Ferrari is a public figure who could not hide, lives in Texas, and that the alleged victim lives in California. They argued he was not a flight risk and did not pose a danger to the victim. The judge still saw it differently.

Ferrari’s bond was set at 10% of $200,000 after the judge deemed him a flight risk. He also cannot have any contact with the alleged victim as part of his bond conditions. Ferrari is scheduled to return to court on August 13 at 10 a.m.

The arraignment came after Ferrari was arrested in Douglas County on July 7. Authorities said investigators had been watching a residence near Bennington where he was allegedly staying. They later saw a man identified as Ferrari crawl out of a garage and get into the back seat of a truck before deputies stopped the vehicle near 204th Street and Grand Avenue.

The charges stem from an alleged May incident in Lincoln. Prosecutors claim Ferrari assaulted a pregnant woman during an argument, dragged her off a bed, strangled her, pinned her down, stopped her from leaving, and took her phone after she tried calling her mother.

Ferrari’s name was once tied to WWE through its NIL program, but this latest court appearance shows how far things have changed. He is now out of the “wanted” stage and into the legal process, with a six-figure bond, no-contact order, and another court date already on the calendar.
