Big Vito isn’t following Vince Russo out the door.
After Russo officially announced that he and Violent J had agreed to part ways with Juggalo Championship Wrestling, longtime friend Big Vito took to X with a message that was equal parts tribute and declaration. Vito praised Russo for their decades-long friendship and the work they got to do together in JCW, but he also made it clear that his own run with the promotion isn’t ending.
Russo’s departure came after weeks of uncertainty surrounding his future. He had previously admitted he was in limbo with JCW before finally confirming that he and Violent J had amicably agreed to go their separate ways. Vito responded by looking back on a friendship that stretches far beyond their latest wrestling chapter. He also thanked Russo for what he brought to JCW before turning the focus toward his own future with the company.
“With Vince Russo departing JCW, I want to take a moment to recognize my friend of 35 years my brother. Vince, sharing this chapter in JCW with you has meant a great deal to me. Getting to work together again, exchange ideas, and do what we love is something I’ll always appreciate. Thank you for the hard work, passion, and creativity you brought to JCW, and for the memories we made along the way.
Our friendship goes far beyond wrestling. Companies and chapters change, but 35 years of brotherhood stays with us. I wish you nothing but success in whatever comes next.
As for me, I remain a proud member of the JCW roster, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build here. My focus is on giving the fans everything I have and making the next chapter count.

That last part leaves zero confusion about where Vito stands. Russo may be closing the book on JCW, but Big Vito isn’t packing his bags with him.
For Vito, this was clearly about giving his longtime friend his flowers while also letting everyone know that “The Don” still has plenty left to do in JCW. Russo’s chapter may be over, but Vito says his is still very much being written.
