WWE’s Paige is furious that scammers are using her name to take advantage of people, and one man learned the hard way that the person he’d been talking to for months wasn’t the former Divas Champion. The situation came to light during Rhode Island Comic Con, where Paige discovered that a scammer pretending to be her had been communicating with a man for eight months and managed to take a substantial amount of his money.

On November 7, Paige, also known as Saraya, took to Twitter to share a video warning people about fake accounts impersonating her. She had just finished the first day of Rhode Island Comic Con when an encounter with the man prompted her to speak out. Paige made one thing crystal clear: she only has three social media accounts, and anyone claiming to be her through a private or alternate profile is a scammer.

“The only thing I have is Saraya on Twitter or X Saraya on Instagram or Saraya on Tick Tock. There is nothing else. I don’t have any private side accounts, nothing. You are not talking to me.”

Things got especially upsetting when Paige explained what happened at the convention. A man approached her after spending approximately eight months talking to someone who had convinced him he was communicating with the real Paige. Unfortunately, the person behind the account was actually a scammer who had taken money from him.

“I had a gentleman come up to me today and unfortunately he was so, so sweet. And he for. He was talking to me for the past eight or so months and got scammed out of some money, a lot of money by the sounds of it.”

Paige didn’t disclose exactly how much money the scammer took, but the amount was apparently significant enough to leave her concerned. She made it clear that the man had been deceived and that she wanted to prevent anyone else from falling for the same scheme.

“And I just want to make sure you guys are safe out there. You are not speaking to me. I promise you that.”

The former WWE star also expressed sympathy for the man, who had apparently believed for months that he had a connection with her. Paige apologized for what he’d gone through and once again urged people to be careful.

“I’m sorry to that guy. He was such a sweetheart. But yeah, I just want to remind everybody of that. Love you guys. See you tomorrow.”

Paige also reinforced the warning in the caption accompanying her video, reminding everyone that her only legitimate social media accounts are on Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok under the username Saraya.

The disturbing part is that this scammer apparently managed to keep the deception going for eight months before the man discovered the truth. Paige was clearly upset to learn someone had been exploiting her identity, and she’s now trying to make sure nobody else hands over money to someone pretending to be her.
