Rey Mysterio’s First Comments After Shocking Injury On WWE SmackDown

Rey Mysterio is a true veteran in the world of professional wrestling, and his influence in the industry is undeniable. He has also suffered numerous injuries throughout his career and this includes his latest one on Smackdown this week. Now it appears Mysterio broke his silence after his injury.

WWE SmackDown featured the finals of the United States Title tournament this week, which saw Rey Mysterio squaring off against fellow LWO member Santos Escobar in a singles match.

Unfortunately, Rey Mysterio suffered legitimate injury during the match after Escobar hit a dive on him. This led to referee Jessika Carr making the call that he was unable to compete anymore and award Escbar with the fan.

Escobar took to social media following the match to share a photo of his upcoming match with Austin Theory for the United States Championship. Rey Mysterio also commented on the post, encouraging Escobar to pick up the win.

WWE also had other plans for Rey Mysterio vs Santos Escobar. We will have to wait and see how long the Master of the 619 will remain absent from in-ring competition, as fans hope he returns sooner rather than later.
