Update: Duggan has updated fans after successful surgery. It seems that he is doing much better now.
Original: Hacksaw Jim Duggan has been having some health issues recently. Duggan was hospitalized with severe infection in late September. Now we have even more concerning news to report.
In a post on his Facebook fan page, Hacksaw’s wife Debra made a grim post. The wrestling legend was shown in a photo laying in a hospital bed on his side. The caption made the situation seem dire.
“Back where we don’t want to be. Please pray for Jim and his doctors as he has emergency surgery this morning. Thank you, Debra”
The 67-year-old superstar who spent time in both WWE and WCW also had a recent heart procedure. It is unknown if this surgery is related to his heart issue or to the previous infection he was dealing with.
Fans flooded the post with well-wishes. Jim Duggan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011 and remains popular with fans to this day.
Duggan is not the only elder statesman of wrestling to experience an emergency. In September, Triple H had to undergo an emergency cardiac procedure of his own. We’re sending out our best from everyone here at Ringside News.
