WWE’s Backlash event is in the books. Following Paul Heyman’s firing from the company a lot of changes are likely on the way.

Vince McMahon doesn’t see the same things that Heyman does in Superstars he was trying to push. The next few weeks could be tricky for Paul Heyman guys.

We exclusively reported that WWE didn’t change anything big about Backlash. There were no title changes nixed in the 11th hour. That doesn’t mean that no changes were made due to Vince McMahon’s new direction.

While speaking to a source in the company, Ringside News was told that there were no changes in Vince McMahon’s new agenda “unless you consider Apollo vs Andrade being put on the kickoff show as the start of the changes.”

Both Andrade and Apollo Crews are Superstars that Paul Heyman was very much behind. If he was still executive director of Raw it’s possible that the United States Title match wouldn’t have been a kickoff show match.

We’ll have to see how WWE proceeds from this point on. The big changes are starting this week. WWE will record this week’s episodes of Raw and SmackDown today. They plan to record next week’s television tomorrow.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
