AEW Double Or Nothing was a big turning point in the pro wrestling industry. Plenty of WWE Superstars were paying attention and Naomi really received brunt of the negative reaction from the WWE Universe. However, AEW also had some clever shots to throw at WWE during their event.

During Starrcast, Nick and Matt Jackson spoke about the shots they took at WWE during Double Or Nothing. Because let’s face it, there were some blatant declarations of war and Jon Moxley didn’t make things any better with what he had to say.

Matt Jackson stated that The Elite have a certain sense of humor to poke fun at things. They are calling the moment like veteran comedians, but in pro wrestling those shots are even louder.

Well, that’s just our sense of humor, you know. If I see something obvious, I’m gonna poke fun at it. It’s what I’ve done my entire career. So I’m not gonna stop now that I work for a billion dollar company (laughs),” said Matt.

Nick also added, “We won’t be doing that every show.” Therefore, it’s not likely that AEW will continue to bury WWE. Because they really don’t need to. Fans have certainly made their decision at this point.

Let’s just see how many AEW chants creep into RAW’s broadcast as this war between companies continues.
