All Elite Wrestling is reality and they are being backed by Tony Khan and his money. The Khan family have been very successful in the sporting world and professional wrestling has always been an interest as well. This is why The Elite and the Khans seem to be such a perfect fit.
It will be very interesting to see if Chris Jericho plays into this scenario as well.
Mike Johnson mentioned on PW Insider Elite audio how the Khan Family’s experience in the sporting world owning professional football and soccer teams could be a huge benefit for The Elite that other people in their same position might not have.
“You have to think that with the sports connection and with the success the family has had in the sporting world that there are doors that will open up for them that might not be opening up for say Dixie Carter if she was trying to find a new TV deal.”
This kind of influence might be seen by the fact that so many major venues were following All Elite Wrestling’s Twitter account even before the announcement was made on January 1st.
The All Elite Wrestling promotion will mean a lot of exciting things, but everything needs to be taken one step at a time. They are speaking to couple of different places regarding television deals, but only time will tell where an AEW television show could land.
AEW already has few key performers and backstage personalities signed. They might not need to call very many people to work until they get closer to their first show. However, it is still a good idea to get a working roster for a perspective TV outlet.
Double Or Nothing is on the way. There is a big event planned very close in proximity to WWE show as well. That rally could be very interesting.
The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes were able to prove themselves with ALL IN. Now they have their own professional wrestling company Hopefully, this will be the recipe for something we’re talking about in a much bigger way in the years to come.
