WWE’s week in Mexico apparently went so well that the company already wants to run it back. According to a new report, TKO is planning another massive September takeover in 2027—and it could end up being even bigger.
According to El Planchitas of RECORD Mexico, WWE was thrilled with how last week’s events came together after bringing SmackDown, TripleManía 34 and RAW to Mexico City. The report claims the current plan is to repeat the same idea next September, with TKO also exploring the possibility of adding a UFC event to the schedule.
“WWE was so thrilled with the success of bringing together RAW, SmackDown, and Triplemanía that, I’m told, for 2027 the plan is to do it again, also in September, and maybe even add a UFC event. TKO struck gold in Mexico and wants the whole market.”
It’s easy to see why WWE would be interested in doing it again. The company’s trip to Mexico produced three packed nights of wrestling, with fans turning every show into one of the loudest crowds of the year. The weekend started with SmackDown before AAA presented TripleManía 34, where El Grande Americano defeated Dominik Mysterio to become the new AAA Mega Champion.
The celebrations didn’t stop there. RAW closed out the week inside the same building with Penta pushing Roman Reigns to the limit in a main event that had the Mexico City crowd behind him from the opening bell until the final pinfall. Even in defeat, Penta received one of the biggest reactions of the entire trip.
If the report is accurate, TKO doesn’t view last week’s shows as a one-off. The company reportedly wants September in Mexico to become an annual destination, and next year’s visit could feature WWE, AAA and UFC all under the same umbrella.
