Turns out WWE liked those Worlds Collide numbers just as much as everyone else, because they’re running it back this year.
After the first WWE x AAA crossover pulled in hundreds of thousands of live viewers and quickly turned into one of the company’s biggest digital success stories, WWE has officially announced that Worlds Collide is coming back.
The second event will take place on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois, giving WWE and AAA another chance to show that the first show wasn’t just a one-off hit.
That’s a pretty big vote of confidence in the concept. When Worlds Collide debuted last year, there were plenty of questions about whether fans would embrace a show built around WWE and AAA sharing the spotlight. Those questions disappeared almost immediately.
The event drew more than 747,000 live viewers across WWE’s English and Spanish YouTube broadcasts, with Ringside News tracking roughly 488,000 watching on the main channel and another 259,000 on WWE Español. By the time the show had been off the air for less than 20 minutes, it had already crossed 1.2 million total views.
The main event didn’t hurt either. El Hijo del Vikingo defended the AAA Mega Championship against Chad Gable, who dropped his El Grande Americano character for the night, while Lilian Garcia’s Spanish ring introductions helped give the show a different feel from a standard WWE event.
Now the pressure shifts to Chicago. The first Worlds Collide had the advantage of being something completely new. This time, fans know what the event is—and they’ll expect WWE and AAA to deliver something even bigger.
WWE has already confirmed the date and location. The next question is whether the company can put together a card that lives up to the expectations created by the first Worlds Collide, which set a high bar both inside the ring and online.
