AEW Dynamite Results (9/2/2026): Live Match Updates and Highlights
The show opens up with Excalibur and Tony Schiavone welcoming us. Excalibur and Tony Schiavone then run down the card for tonight’s Dynamite, revealing Will Ospreay and Mercedes Moné would address fans after winning their respective World Titles at All In. They also announced that Darby Allin will defend his AEW TNT Title against Mark Davis.
We then get a video package recapping this past weekend’s All In: London PPV featuring some of the biggest moments from Wembley.
Justin Roberts then introduces new AEW World Champion Will Ospreay and he makes his way down to the ring. Ospreay then grabs a mic and starts off by apologizing for looking a little rough after his match against Kenny Omega at All In and says he doesn’t want to cry from the cheers of the live crowd because he has had a whole week of crying. Ospreay then says All In was amazing and he struggles to show the gratitude he has for winning the AEW World Championship. Ospreay then thanks those who have been there from the beginning and those who have been there for him since his arrival in AEW. Ospreay then addresses Omega and says they both pushed one another to their limits. Ospreay then says there were times on Sunday that he wanted to stay down and he kept fighting. Ospreay then says Omega has been the best wrestler in the world for the last 10 years and he still is. Ospreay then says it took one good day for him to dethrone Omega as AEW World Champion and the only thing he wanted from Omega is to be acknowledged as his equal.
Ospreay then says he’s satisfied with them both having 2 wins against one another, but if Omega isn’t satisfied with that, he can name the time and place for his AEW World Championship rematch. Ospreay then says Omega was one of his heroes a long time ago and he’s the Billy Goat, the best in the world and the new AEW World Champion. Ospreay then says anyone who wants to take his title from him will have to walk through the same fire that he did. Ospreay then shouts out his United Empire stablemates for helping him back up when he was down. Ospreay then says he wanted no one else but United Empire in his corner at All In and there will be a United Empire in New Japan Pro Wrestling while he creates opportunities in AEW. He then promises to bring United Empire to AEW.
Ricochet, Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun then appear on the entrance ramp and Ricochet says Ospreay knows they have unfinished business and will forever be intertwined. Ricochet then says the people don’t give him enough credit which is okay because they don’t know him like Ospreay does. Ricochet then says Ospreay has known him for years, but Gabe Kidd cuts off Ricochet when he appears with Clark Connors and says Ospreay took away his chance to be the first English AEW World Champion. Kidd then says that’s nothing compared to what he’ll take from Ospreay’s family, but Ricochet stops Kidd and says he’ll have the first opportunity to take the AEW World Championship from Ospreay. Kidd then clarifies that he doesn’t want the AEW World Championship from Ospreay yet. The Dogs and The Demand then surround the ring, but United Empire’s Henare, Callum Newman and Francesco Akira run into the ring to back up Ospreay. Ospreay then proposes an 8-Man Tag Team Match pitting himself and United Empire against The Demand and The Dogs.
We then get a video package looking at the Trios Roulette Royale from All In and the debut of The New Level alongside Swerve Strickland.
The New Level and Swerve Strickland then make their way down to the ring for the first match of the night and The Rascalz follow.
AEW World Trios Championship Match: The New Level (Kofi and Austin Creed) and Swerve Strickland (c) vs. The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Myron Reed and Dezmond Xavier)
The match starts off with Swerve Strickland and Myron Reed and Strickland fends off Reed before taking him to the mat with a headscissors. Reed then fights back to send Strickland to the ropes, but Strickland catches Reed on a springboard cross body to slam him into the turnbuckle. Reed then makes the tag to Dezmond Xavier and Austin Creed tags in for his Dynamite debut match. Both men then lock up, but Creed catches Xavier in a bow and arrow before Xavier breaks free. Xavier then dodges some kicks from Creed, who manages to finally take Xavier to the mat before tagging in Kofi. Double team by the New Level forces Xavier to tag out to Wentz, who gets taken down by another double team for a near fall.
Wentz then manages to fight back enough for a tag to Reed as Strickland tags in and the Rascalz are in control as they take Strickland down in the corner before sending him outside, but not before Creed gets a tag as he and Strickland end up catching the Rascals from the apron before Kofi gets the drop on the Rascalz. Creed then starts to fight back as we return to the ring, taking Zachary Wentz to the mat with a sit-out powerbomb before making a tag to Kofi. A tag is then made to Reed as well as Kofi unleashes a flurry of offense, keeping Reed off his feet. Kofi then hits the ropes for a leg drop before tagging in Creed, who hits a hard Tornado DDT before tagging Strickland in. Delayed vertical suplex then gets Strickland a two before Wentz breaks up the pin.
Strickland then takes Reed and Wentz down, not realizing that Xavier has tagged in and this allows Xavier a chance to roll him up for a two count of his own. The Rascalz then take Strickland to the corner for a triple team and despite Strickland fighting back he ends up taking a multitude of moves leading to a near fall before Kofi breaks it up. Kofi then retreats to the apron for a tag, only to be intercepted by Xavier in the corner. Xavier then goes for a dive but gets caught and sent to the floor by Kofi, who takes a tornillo by Wentz.
Creed then hits a dive onto Wentz and onto Xavier, only for Reed to catch Strickland with a cutter off the apron and a headscissors on Creed to the floor. He then brings Kofi back into the ring but is shoved into the corner by Kofi, who follows it up with a Trouble in Paradise sending him into the turnbuckle. Xavier then comes in with some offense of his own, but gets removed from the ring before Strickland tags in for a House Call to pick up the win.

After the match, Strickland and The New Level leave the ring with their titles to celebrate, only for The Young Bucks to make their entrance. The Young Bucks briefly have a stare-down with the World Trios Champions before heading to the ring as we will be hearing from them next.
We then take a quick look back at Mercedes Moné defeating Willow Nightingale for the Women’s World Championship at All In before heading back to ringside.
Matt Jackson then holds the mic and says we all see what happened at All In and he is not going to stand here and complain about being screwed or cheated. Matt then says he and his brother Nick have done worse to people in this company. Matt then says but for being a generational match in front of the crowd in Wembley and for Christian Cage and Adam Copeland to have to win that way. Matt then says are you satisfied with how you won. Matt then says why don’t you come down here and say as much. But we don’t get Cage and Copeland and instead we get FTR and Big Stoke.
Stoke has a mic and he says the only two people that matter right now are Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler. Stoke then says he can’t believe the Bucks are begging for yet another title shot and another shot to fail. Dax then takes the mic, telling the people in Texas to try and keep up. The crowd then lets Dax know what they think of that by telling him to “shut the f**k up,” but he does not. He then tells Matt and Nick that “daddy’s home now.” He then talks about the Bucks losing again and since FTR have beaten the Bucks and the champions, it’s time for the daddies to become the first four-time tag champions. Nick then takes the mic, saying they’ve beaten FTR too and one thing they haven’t done in a tag title match was say the words “I Quit.” Out comes Cage and Copeland, with Cage holding the mic first.
He says there’s an old saying that goes they don’t ask how you won, they ask who won. He then says himself and Copeland were supposed to be the old guys past their prime, but they’ve retained their AEW World Tag Team Championship against both teams. Copeland then adds that he realizes his job is to be the voice of reason and says he’s not pleased with Cage cheating at All In as Cage looks displeased at Copeland. Copeland then says FTR and The Young Bucks both have reasons for a AEW World Tag Team Championship rematch. Copeland then proposes a 3-Way TLC Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship between himself and Cage, The Young Bucks and FTR at AEW All Out on September 26.
We then head to the back, where Will Ospreay and The United Empire catch up with Lexy Nair and they discuss who’s going to be their fifth man for the main event. Callum Newman says he already found someone who’s in AEWW and he’s been with the Empire in the past as well. HENARE then knocks on the door and in comes Andrade El Idolo. Andrade, who won his right to challenge for the World Title at All In, congratulates Ospreay with a handshake.
Darby Allin then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night, but gets blindsided by Mark Davis. Davis then takes Allin to task around ringside. Both men are still brawling out in the crowd as the match has yet to officially start and Allin launches himself off the railing onto Davis. Davis then tries to retreat after this, but is sent over the barricade to ringside by Allin. Allin then grabs his skateboard and slams it against Davis’ back, only for Davis to fire back with a big forearm strike. Davis then sends Allin into the announce desk.
AEW TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin (c) vs. Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis
The match starts off with Davis continuing to beat Allin down. Davis then hits some hard elbow strikes on Allin before sending him to the ropes for a big lariat. Davis then goes for a cover, but it’s only good for a two count. Allin then hits a shotgun dropkick on Davis as Davis has his hand tied to the tag team rope. Davis then manages to take down Allin and free himself, then hits a right hand on Allin. Allin then looks to deliver a springboard Coffin Drop to Davis, but Davis intercepts him in a sleeper. Allin then reverses into a pinfall, but Davis kicks out.
Davis then delivers a back body drop to Allin, but Allin responds with a Code Red to Davis and pins him. Davis then kicks out, but Allin sends Davis crashing into the commentary desk on the outside by flying off the top rope. He then follows it up with a Coffin Drop to Davis off the top rope for the win.

After the match, Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero beat down Allin. Steven Borden then runs out to the ring and nails Romero and Beretta with a couple of dropkicks. Borden then stares down Davis, but the returning Josh Alexander blindsides Borden from behind and beats him down. He. then cinches in an Ankle Lock on Allin and stands tall over Allin and Borden with his Don Callis Family stablemates.
We then see MJF cut a promo at All In following his loss. MJF puts the blame on all of this on Will Ospreay, referring to his intervention at Beach Break that led to him losing the title to Omega in the first place. MJF says he is mad that Ospreay got away with it, calling him a “cold dose of reality” before talking about how much better and more important he is to everyone else. MJF then promises Ospreay that payback is coming, but he won’t let anyone know when it is coming for Ospreay. MJF then says by the time he does it Ospreay is gonna be begging for it.
Megan Bayne then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night with Lena Kross and Alex Windsor follows with Jamie Hayter.
Singles Match: Divine Dominion’s “The Megasus” Megan Bayne vs. AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champion The Brawling Birds’ Alex Windsor
The match starts off with Megan Bayne immediately going on the attack, wearing down Alex Windsor before sending her to the corner. Windsor then starts to fight back, but is taken to the mat by Bayne for a near fall. Bayne then brings Windsor to the corner once more, but this time Windsor brings the fight with some right hands. Hammer throw is then countered as Bayne drops her with a fall away slam. Windsor then meets Bayne with a boot at the ropes but is sent to the outside, only for Windsor to fight back with a cannonball. Bayne is back in control as she brings Windsor out of the corner. Windsor then fights back with a couple of lariats, but they don’t faze Bayne who hits a kick to the gut of Windsor.
The fight then ends up on the ropes where Windsor hits Bayne with a boot and a DDT to the mat, but only gets a near fall for her efforts. Bayne then fights back as she sends Windsor to the corner, but takes a spear by Windsor for a two count. Up goes Bayne now, who fires back with a forearm. Trade of strikes and Windsor manages to get a near fall again followed by a roll up for two. Bayne then hits Windsor with a Falcon Arrow for two, only for Bayne to get knocked down for a near fall by Windsor.
The fight then once again comes to the apron as they fight it out, with Bayne being sent to the floor only to meet Windsor with a clothesline sending both women to the floor. Kross then grabs one of the tag titles from the timekeeper area, only to be intercepted by Hayter. They then fight it out and as this distracts the referee. Bayne then grabs the title and slams it against the head of Windsor before bringing her back into the ring for a Mega Bomb for the win.

After the match, Bayne and Lena Kross beats down Windsor until Jamie Hayter comes in for the save, forcing Divine Dominion to retreat up the ramp.
We then get ahighlight reel from the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In.
We then head to the back, where we hear from Chris Jericho who addresses not technically losing the match on Sunday as Nick Wayne got pinned. Nick Wayne then doesn’t take kindly to this, pointing out he took Jericho out of the match. Jericho then says he has quite a bit to say about this, like anyone still wearing a puka shell necklace in 2026 is a douchebag. Wayne then gets a chuckle at this before slapping Jericho in the face. They then start to brawl until Jericho takes Wayne to a nearby shutter door, where Wayne manages to get one over on Jericho. Wayne then mocks Jericho before slamming him against the floor and walking off.
Commentary then talks up what’s still to come tonight, including a Women’s World Championship Celebration with Mercedes Moné coming up next.
We see that the ring is decked out with balloons, a red carpet of sorts and pictures of Mercedes Moné as the new AEW Women’s World Champion makes her way down to the ring. Moné talks about how much it means for the fans to celebrate this moment with her in a place like AEW where the women’s evolution could be globalized. Moné then says she took a chance on herself to come to AEW and prove you don’t have to ask permission to be great. Moné then talks about winning the title on her own terms and doing something no man or woman has done and that’s win a world title in four major companies.
Moné then addresses the woman she beat for the title at All In and says she still angry about what she did to her face. Moné then says despite thinking Willow Nightingale was keeping her away from her destiny, she realizes Nightingale was just pushing her toward it. Moné then says who’s smiling now. Moné then gloats about taking the title and Nightingale’s smile away, holding her title up high until Thekla interrupts.
Thekla starts off by saying she’s here to celebrate alongside Moné and she even brought her own tequila. Thekla then says for all of Moné’s accomplishments, she’s never been Toxic. Thekla then makes fun of Willow Nightingale, saying she deserved to be humiliated before acknowledging that Moné likes to swing the title between her legs but nobody swings it bigger than her. Moné then calls herself the CEO but Thekla doesn’t work for her and Moné has been calling people dumb b***hes and the only thing Thekla hates more than dumb b***hes are dumb b***hes calling other people a dumb b***h. Thekla then tells Moné to let her know when she’s ready to give her back her title and she drops the mic.
We then head to the back, where Britt Baker says she didn’t get off her lawn chair for the first time in months for a gamble, but for a guarantee. Baker then talks about Persephone having a killer instinct and the new TBS Champion is ready to defend at Collision against Vertvixen.
Jon Moxley then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night through the crowd and AR Fox follows.
AEW Continental Championship Eliminator Match: The Death Riders’ AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. AR Fox
The match starts off with both men locking up and Jon Moxley takes control, only for AR Fox to break free and get to his feet. Moxley then pops back up and hits the ropes for a shoulder tackle, but Fox takes control sending Moxley to the outside for a Pele kick of sorts off the apron. Fox then brings Moxley back into the ring, but Moxley ends up taking control as he sends Fox to the outside. Moxley then has Fox in the corner for some strikes before sending Fox to the mat. Fox is then back to his feet for a shoulder tackle, but to no avail. Moxley then eggs him on to try again.
Fox then fails to get Moxley down until he dodges a right hand for a kick bringing Moxley to his knees, allowing Fox to hit a cutter to the mat. Fox then goes for a diving senton, but Moxley rolls out of the way, hitting a King Kong lariat to send Fox to the canvas. Moxley then goes for a suplex but gets caught by Fox instead, who hits a 450 splash for a two count. Fox then gets Moxley to his feet, but Moxley turns it around for a sleeper before hitting Fox with a Paradigm Shift DDT for the win.

After the match, Moxley celebrates his win.
Commentary then hypes up the main event coming up next, which is a 10-Man Tag Team Match.
We then head to the back, where Don Callis is with Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight. Things then get a little heated as Knight is called out for losing the TNT Championship to Darby Allin, while Fletcher lost the International Title to Okada at All In. This then calms down when Callis tells them that he’s booked them in a tag match against Juice Robinson and Ace Austin at Collision. Okada then comes in to gloat about winning the title, reminding Fletcher that all that matters is it’s still in the Family before walking off.
Will Ospreay, HENARE, Callum Newman, Francesco Akira and Andrade El Idolo then make their way down to the ring for the main event of the night and The Demand and The Dogs follow.

The match starts off with Will Ospreay and Ricochet and both men tag out to Toa Liona and Henare. Liona and HENARE then deliver elbows on one another, but the action spills out of the ring and Andrade hits a Tornillo to take down The Dogs and The Demand on the outside. Andrade, The United Empire and Ospreay then take a selfie with a female fan in the crowd, but The Dogs and The Demand blindside them from behind. Newman then nails Bishop Kaun with a big boot. Kaun then hits a couple of chops to Newman and gets him up on his shoulders, then tags in HENARE. HENARE then hits an Airplane Spin to Kaun and follows it up with a running senton, then goes for a pin but Gabe Kidd breaks the fall.
Andrade then nails Kidd with an elbow strike, but Kidd hits a clothesline to Andrade. Akira then delivers chops on Liona and Kaun, but both men remain on their feet. Ospreay and Ricochet then tag in and Ospreay hits Ricochet with a corkscrew kick. Ospreay then nails Clark Connors with a kick, but Kidd hits Ospreay until Andrade takes out Kidd. Kaun then takes out Andrade, but HENARE goes after him until Liona goes after HENARE. Ricochet then flies off the top rope to nail HENARE with a knee off the top rope, but Akira hits a moonsault off the middle rope to nail Kaun and Liona on the outside. Connors then hits a spear to Newman, but Ospreay hits him with a Hidden Blade for the win.

After the match, Andrade and Kidd brawl it out with the security intervening to stop things from turning chaotic. Ospreay then comes to his partner’s help, but Kidd hits a Low Blow on him. Kidd then brings out a chair and begins to attack Ospreay. Jon Moxley and The Death Riders then make their way out and stop Kidd from further attacking Ospreay. It is now just Ospreay and Moxley in the ring. Moxley then holds the World Title and hands it to Ospreay. Ospreay and Moxley then stare each other down as the big screen shows their match is official for All Out and the show comes to a close.
