Ric Flair recently claimed he was banned from WrestleMania after threatening Ludwig Kaiser, but a new update suggests WWE may not see the situation the same way.
Fightful Select reports that WWE sources did not recall the issue Flair described involving Kaiser. That detail raises new questions about how the situation was handled internally and whether it played the role Flair suggested.
The report also added another key piece of information regarding Flair’s current status outside WWE, noting that his ties elsewhere could also factor into why he wasn’t present.
“Ric Flair is believed to still be under AEW contract still. WWE sources did not seem to remember whatever issue he had with Ludwig Kaiser.”
Flair previously stated during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show that he was not invited to WrestleMania after tensions escalated following comments made about his daughter, Charlotte Flair. He claimed that an unscripted remark by Tiffany Stratton about Charlotte’s divorces sparked the issue, eventually leading to a threat directed at Stratton’s then-boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser.
According to Flair, that confrontation led to WWE keeping him away from the event entirely.
“I didn’t get invited to WrestleMania this year. I threatened to beat up Tiffany Stratton’s boyfriend last year, so I wasn’t allowed to go. A 24-year-old kid being threatened by a 76-year-old man, and I can’t go to WrestleMania? Are you kidding me?”
Flair also described reaching out directly after seeing social media posts he believed crossed a line involving his daughter, which he said led him to issue a threat.
“I called him and said, ‘When I see you, I will beat the shit out of you.’ So he went like a little bitch and told Triple H, and I wasn’t allowed to go.”
However, the update introduces doubt about that version of events, especially with WWE sources not recalling the situation at all. Combined with the belief that Flair remains under an AEW contract, the absence from WrestleMania may not be tied to the alleged confrontation in the way Flair described.
At this point, the conflicting accounts leave the situation somewhat unclear, with Flair standing by his version while WWE sources reportedly have no memory of the incident he referenced.
