Vince Russo has finally addressed all the talk about him potentially returning to WWE, but anyone hoping for a straight yes-or-no answer isn’t getting one. Russo says he has “nothing to talk about” right now — and he’s also pretty pissed at the people reporting the story.

Speaking on The Coach & Bro Show, Russo addressed the rumors after reports connected him to conversations with WWE President Nick Khan over the summer. Russo started by pointing out that he’s been reading stories about himself everywhere, but claims none of the people reporting on the situation actually bothered to contact him.

“So I have made a reputation of not lying and telling the truth. Since 8 o’clock last night, I am reading all kinds of rumors about me from everybody — starting with Conrad Thompson, James Romero, Sean Sapp, a million different comments and stories. Let me be clear — none of those people contacted me or tried to contact me. And all of those people have my number. Let me tell you, don’t try to contact me now because I stated it already, and now it’s too late.”

Russo then compared the situation to the recent speculation surrounding his run with JCW. His point was basically that if there’s something he wants people to know, he’ll eventually tell them himself.

“I wanna make it clear to the audience listening to me — I do not lie. With everything you’re reading, just like the stuff you were reading about JCW, guys, when I have something to say, I will say it! If there is nothing to say, I’m not gonna say anything. Everyone went on about JCW, then I said, ‘Guys, I wasn’t ready to say anything and talk about it,’ and now I am, and I did, and made everything clear.”

As for the WWE story specifically, Vince Russo didn’t confirm or deny that he reached out to Khan. Instead, he repeatedly said there’s simply nothing he’s willing to discuss right now.

“So what I’m saying is, right now, there is nothing for me to talk about. I have nothing to talk about right now. If that changes and there is something I need to talk about, this audience will be the first to know. It’s that simple, and I wanted to make this clear.”

Russo wasn’t finished either. He then took aim at the reporters covering the story, calling anyone who runs with something about him without contacting him first a “hack.”

“A guy that does have a degree in journalism and worked for TV stations, and a guy that wrote three books — when you’re running with stories and you don’t contact the subject of those stories, bro, I’m sorry, you’re a hack, and you’re not properly doing your job.”

Russo’s comments come after PWInsider reported that he was actually the one who reached out to Khan over the summer looking for a potential WWE role. WWE sources said nothing ever progressed toward officially hiring Russo at any point in 2026.

Conrad Thompson originally kicked everything off by claiming Russo had been in talks about a shocking return to WWE creative. Fightful Select later reported that people at WWE headquarters had heard about conversations between Russo and Khan, although the seriousness of those talks was unclear.

So Russo isn’t exactly clearing up the mystery himself. He isn’t confirming the reports, but he isn’t flat-out denying that conversations with Khan happened either. For now, his message is pretty simple: he has nothing to say, and if that ever changes, he wants people to hear it directly from him.

What do you make of Vince Russo refusing to confirm or deny the reports while calling out the people covering them? Let us know what you think in the comments.
