TNA Wrestling is already looking to reload its Knockouts division after losing Jody Threat, Mara Sade and other names from the roster.
According to Fightful Select, TNA plans to bring in more women’s talent following the recent departures. Threat asked out of her contract after finishing up at the Philadelphia television tapings, while Sade’s run officially ended after her final match aired on the August 6 episode of TNA iMPACT!. F
“We’re told TNA is planning to bring in more women’s talent after the exits of Mara Sade and Jody Threat, among others.”
The timing makes sense. Threat had only re-signed with TNA earlier this year before requesting her release, while Sade worked through the end of her run without signing a new deal. TNA later confirmed both departures in the same statement.
The company has also teased that a former champion is returning to the Knockouts division, so the women’s roster could look very different in the near future. With multiple exits piling up, TNA clearly isn’t planning to leave those spots empty for long. Now the focus shifts to who gets brought in and whether the company goes after established names or fresh talent.
