AEW just added some championship stakes to Saturday night. During the September 16, 2026 episode of AEW Dynamite, it was announced that Andrade El Idolo will defend the AEW National Championship against Daniel Garcia on the September 19 episode of AEW Collision.
Garcia is coming into this title shot with some serious momentum after winning The Butcher Battle Royale on the September 12 edition of Collision. AEW held the match in honor of the late Andy Williams, with Garcia surviving the field before selecting MusiCares to receive a $100,000 donation in Williams’ name.
Andrade has been doing exactly what he said he wanted to do with the National Championship — defend it. He retained against Gabe Kidd on September 5 before successfully turning away The Beast Mortos on the September 9 Dynamite, with AEW noting that Andrade has been focused on building his National Title run even while holding a guaranteed AEW World Championship opportunity.
Now Garcia gets his chance to knock Andrade off just one week before All Out. The match will go down live from the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, with AEW previously confirming that the September 19 Collision will air live coast-to-coast on TNT.
AEW also confirmed another singles match for the show, with Thekla set to take on Zayda Steel. Willow Nightingale will be on commentary for the match, adding another wrinkle with Thekla and Willow already headed toward their showdown at All Out.

With All Out only one week away, Garcia now has a chance to completely change the complexion of his year by taking Andrade’s championship. Andrade, meanwhile, has another challenger standing between him and the dominant National Title reign he’s been promising, while Thekla gets one more chance to send a message with Willow watching from ringside.
