Tiffany Stratton had a last-minute scare before heading through the curtain, and it almost changed her entire look for the match.
While speaking on Twitch, Stratton revealed that she suffered a wardrobe mishap in Gorilla Position just moments before she was set to go out. She explained that she was warming up during a commercial break when part of her gear suddenly broke.
“In gorilla, like two minutes before I go in and wrestle, it was a commercial break and I was warming up—and my strap broke off my gear literally a minute and a half before I was supposed to go out.”
Stratton said the situation got serious fast, because she was so close to making her entrance that there was almost no time to fix it. She then explained that they managed to fix the issue by tying the gear together. She also identified the outfit as her butterfly top with white, blue, and pink gear.
“So I screamed, ‘My strap just broke!’ And I almost had to wrestle in my merch shirt. We ended up tying it up—it was the butterfly top, white gear with the blue and the pink.”
The Women’s United States Champion admitted the situation caused panic backstage and called it one of the worst moments she has dealt with before going out to perform.
“So yeah, that was really scary. Everyone was panicking in gorilla—it was probably the worst day of my life.”
This comes after Stratton also used her Twitch stream to shut down online speculation about cosmetic surgery. She addressed fans who claimed she was “plastic from head to toe” and clarified what procedures she has actually had done.
“Guys, I just got my boobs done. “Got some lip filler. Got some botox. And that’s it. I’m not plastic from head to toe. It’s just the chest, the lips, and some botox, that’s it. Let’s move on.”
Tiffany Stratton managed to make it through the wardrobe scare without having to change into a merch shirt, but the moment clearly left an impression on her. For a performer who is expected to look camera-ready every time she walks through the curtain, one broken strap nearly turned into a major backstage disaster.
