WWE isn’t wasting any time getting things moving on the September 14 episode of Monday Night RAW — because Rey Mysterio is currently slated to kick off the show in Mexico City.
According to Viper Reports, the early rundown has Mysterio opening tonight’s broadcast from Arena CDMX. This is still an early rundown, so plans can always change before RAW actually goes live.
That puts Mysterio front and center on a loaded show that already has two championship matches and a pair of Money in the Bank qualifiers. Roman Reigns will defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Penta after Penta won the tournament to become the new No. 1 contender, while Chad Gable puts the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Dragon Lee.
The road to Money in the Bank also keeps rolling with Je’Von Evans, Austin Theory and Big Cass fighting for one men’s spot, while Kelani Jordan, Raquel Rodriguez and Lola Vice battle for a place in the women’s ladder match.
Stephanie Vaquer is also set to appear after defeating Liv Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship in Santiago, Chile, giving WWE another major thread to follow after Becky Lynch played a huge role in the title change.
The confirmed lineup for the September 14 WWE RAW currently includes:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Penta
- Intercontinental Championship: Chad Gable (c) vs. Dragon Lee
- Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Match: Je’Von Evans vs. Austin Theory vs. Big Cass

- Rey Mysterio currently slated to open the show
Again, this comes from the early rundown and plans can change before bell time, but as of now WWE is looking to start RAW with Rey Mysterio in front of the Mexico City crowd. RAW airs live from Arena CDMX in Mexico City beginning at 8 PM ET on Netflix, and Ringside News will have live play-by-play coverage all night in our WWE Monday Night RAW coverage hub.
