Roman Reigns officially has his next challenger—and WWE wasted no time putting them nose-to-nose inside the ring.
During the episode of WWE RAW taped for August 31, Penta defeated his brother Rey Fenix in the main event to earn a match against Reigns. That showdown is scheduled for the September 14 episode of RAW in Mexico City, Mexico.
Penta barely had time to celebrate before Reigns’ music hit. The champion walked to the ring, stepped directly in front of his new challenger and raised the title over his head. Penta didn’t back down. He stood his ground and answered with his signature pose as the two stared each other down, giving fans their first look at the match WWE is bringing to Mexico City.
The location makes the opportunity even bigger for Penta. He will challenge one of WWE’s most dominant stars in front of a Mexican crowd that should be firmly behind him from the second he walks through the curtain.
Reigns may have tried to intimidate Penta by holding the championship in his face, but Penta made it clear that he isn’t walking into Mexico City just to collect another main-event appearance.
Will Penta pull off the upset against Roman Reigns when WWE RAW heads to Mexico City on September 14? Leave your feedback and let us know in the comments.
