WWE’s recent wave of releases may not just be about roster changes; it’s now affecting how talent feel behind the scenes.

After Bryan Alvarez warned that more names could be on the chopping block following exits involving Tonga LoaJC Mateo, and members of The New Day, a new report is revealing how the roster is reacting internally — and it’s not good.

Speaking during a Self Made Session, Self Made Pro explained that these concerns aren’t based on guesswork, but on multiple conversations with WWE talent across the board. According to them, the overall mood inside the company has taken a serious hit following the latest cuts.

“I spoke to a lot of people—many in WWE—and it’s with no exaggeration when I say that the morale right now is really low. It’s really tough because there’s a widespread feeling of, ‘They’re just going to get me next.’”

They went on to explain that one of the biggest triggers for this reaction was seeing major names — especially The New Day — get released, which has made others question their own security regardless of status or history.

“There’s a widespread feeling of, like, if it’s New Day, we’re all going to get smoked at some point. There’s very much a feeling that there’s no security for anybody.”

From there, Self Made Pro added that the situation has escalated beyond just concern, with some wrestlers already thinking about taking matters into their own hands rather than waiting for a call.

“And I spoke to three different wrestlers in WWE—three—that contemplated whether or not they should simply request their release first before they get got. Three in one weekend.”

They made it clear those conversations weren’t prompted — the wrestlers themselves brought it up, which says a lot about how things feel internally right now.

“And it wasn’t me saying, ‘Hey, is this what you’re…’ No—them coming to me and saying, like, ‘I’m thinking I should just ask out.’”

Beyond the fear of being cut, the report also showed a deeper issue — a growing sense among talent that their work isn’t making a difference when it comes to long-term security.

“Right now, there’s just a feeling of, ‘We don’t matter. Nothing we do matters. It doesn’t matter if we work hard or get over or if we’re bad—we’re all going to go at some point.’ That’s legitimately the widespread feeling among so many people I spoke to.”

They added that this sentiment isn’t limited to one group, but is becoming more common across different levels of the roster.

“I was talking to people who were just like there’s an increasing feeling amongst people there that they’re just not cared about, nor do they matter on a big scale from the people up top.”

Bottom line — this isn’t just about who’s already gone. It’s about how the people still there are feeling right now. And based on what’s being said, uncertainty isn’t just lingering — it’s spreading fast across the locker room.

Do you think WWE can turn locker room morale around after these releases, or is this kind of environment inevitable in today’s wrestling business? Let us know your thoughts.
