Myles Borne came to the ring looking like he wanted to save a friendship during the WWE NXT episode on September 15, 2026, but the whole thing turned into a setup after Tavion Heights finally accepted his apology.

Borne opened the segment by saying he had a lot on his mind and needed to get something off his chest. He called Heights to the ring because he wanted to apologize to him face-to-face following everything that happened between them last week.

Heights admitted the two had been through a lot together and said brothers fight, but he made it clear Borne had crossed the line. Borne admitted he jumped the gun after losing the Tag Team Titles and said fear got the better of him.

Borne explained that Heights had previously told him he didn’t know what he would do if they lost the titles, and Borne said that uncertainty stuck with him. He insisted he wasn’t proud of what he did and wasn’t trying to justify it, but wanted Heights to understand where his head had been.

Borne then apologized. Heights wasn’t ready to simply forget everything. He said his back was still sore after Borne turned on him and questioned how he was supposed to immediately trust somebody who kicked him while he was already down. Heights also brought up losing the first championship he had ever won and said that wasn’t something he could just erase from his memory.

Borne fired back by reminding Heights about what happened after the Great American Bash. He accused Heights of putting his own interests first when he forced Borne to defend his title against him and argued that he had still welcomed Heights back with open arms afterward.

Borne said the two of them had the world in the palm of their hands and insisted nobody could stop them if they stayed together. He once again said he wasn’t proud of what he had done and asked Heights to put everything behind them so they could start over.

That finally appeared to work. Heights admitted he may have been too focused on his own situation and failed to realize the position he had put Borne in. He acknowledged that he may have planted some of the doubt that eventually caused their problems. Borne said they simply needed to learn how to balance success without allowing it to destroy their friendship.

Heights finally forgave him, and the two men embraced in the middle of the ring. Then Borne showed his true colors. The second Heights trusted him again, Borne turned on him and dropped him. He threw Heights out of the ring and unleashed a vicious beating at ringside before sending him crashing through the barricade.

The crowd even started chanting “RKO” at one point as Borne continued dismantling his former partner. Borne wasn’t finished. He dragged Heights back into the ring, placed a steel chair around his leg and stomped down on it, turning what started as an emotional apology into a calculated ambush.

Borne didn’t just reject Heights’ forgiveness — he waited until Heights completely lowered his guard before tearing him apart. Whatever was left of their friendship appears to be gone now, and Borne made sure Heights paid for trusting him one more time.
