Sami Callihan is gone from TNA, and his own reaction made the situation look even more awkward.
TNA’s backstage shakeup already included Tommy Dreamer leaving his head of creative role, with Delirious now believed to be the main creative voice moving forward. Then word started making the rounds that Callihan had also parted ways with the company.
Callihan addressed the news on X and made it clear he did not see it playing out this way. Instead, Callihan said he is done with TNA. He also kept it moving and pointed fans toward his own promotion.
“Thought I was getting called today to be offered a position in creative… nope. I’ve parted ways with TNA.”
“Oh well… onward to the next adventure. Check out my company @PWRevolver”
That pretty much says it all. Callihan thought the call might be about a bigger backstage role. Instead, he ended the day announcing his exit. Callihan had already moved into a producer role after retiring from in-ring competition last summer, so this is another backstage hit for TNA at a rough time. Dreamer is gone, creative is changing, and Slammiversary is coming fast.
The departure list keeps getting longer too. Tessa Blanchard is out, Steve Maclin was granted his release earlier this month, and Myla Grace also exited the company. TNA is not just making one small tweak. The company is clearing people out and reshaping things behind the curtain. Sami Callihan leaving only makes that shakeup louder.
