Lil Yachty may be sticking around WWE much longer than originally expected. After becoming a regular part of Trick Williams’ presentation, the rapper is now discussing a new deal that could keep him involved with the company beyond his current arrangement.

According to False Finish, sources indicate that Yachty is in talks with WWE about receiving a contract extension. Nothing has been finalized, but the discussions show that both sides are interested in continuing the partnership.

Yachty has spent months appearing alongside Trick Williams on WWE television. Trick recently lost the United States Championship to Baron Corbin at SummerSlam, but Yachty has remained closely tied to his presentation and ongoing storyline.

The rapper has also been training behind the scenes and wants to become more involved with WWE. Trick previously revealed that Yachty is interested in attending live events, traveling with the company and eventually competing in tag team matches alongside him.

A contract extension would give WWE more time to develop Yachty’s role and potentially move him from ringside into an actual match. Yachty appears to be pushing for something more substantial than a one-night celebrity appearance.

There is no word on how long the possible extension would last or whether it would include an official in-ring debut. However, with Yachty training and WWE continuing to feature him alongside Trick Williams, a match appears to be one of the possibilities being explored.
