WWE Raw on August 3, 2026, took place at the Casey’s Center in Des Moines, Iowa. SummerSlam was in the rear-view mirror, and Big Cass couldn’t wait any longer.
Big Cass made his big return to WWE after eight years away as he attacked Je’Von Evans. The Young OG had just beaten Ethan Page in a hard-fought match. However, his celebration didn’t last long.
After Big Cass dismantled Je’Von Evans a bit, he nailed an East River Crossing to wrap up his return to WWE. He also did so without Enzo Amore by his side, which was an aspect that many fans thought they might see.
WWE signed Big Cass to a new contract, and the teasers started coming in. The hype videos kept coming, and that set the stage for August 3.
Big Cass was released by WWE on June 19, 2018, following several backstage issues. There were reports at the time that he had a bad attitude during a European tour and ignored creative instructions during a televised segment. Those incidents, along with concerns about his backstage attitude, led to his release from the company. Needless to say, he wasn’t in the best place, and he has spoken out in depth since.
We will have to see what Big Cass is able to do next in WWE. His return has certainly brought him a second chance, one that he will hopefully take full advantage of.
