Rich Swann is no longer just popping up in TNA whenever the company needs him. He’s officially back in the fold.

After previously working on a per-appearance basis, Swann confirmed to the Daily Star that he has re-signed with TNA Wrestling. For him, the decision sounds pretty simple: he believes in where the company is right now, and he wants to be part of the ride.

“I really believe in this company. I feel great. I feel like right now TNA is at the spot that it needs to be. We’re killing it every Thursday night, and I’m just happy to be a part of that. I’ve been a part of Impact Wrestling and TNA since 2018. To have this freaking spot, it just feels awesome. I really believe in this company, from the X Division to its Tag Division to its KO Division.”

That is a big shift from where things stood not too long ago. Swann’s previous TNA deal had quietly expired, and when he returned alongside AJ Francis’ First Cla$$ faction, he was reportedly only working appearances as needed. At the time, we had reported that Swann was not under a traditional contract.

Now that has changed, and Swann made it clear this is not just about having another contract. He said he has seen TNA take hit after hit from critics over the years, and watching the company fight its way back is part of what keeps him motivated.

“What drives me is, I’ve seen this company at its lowest and people have always targeted TNA. They said ‘Oh, they’re going to die. Oh, they’re going to they’re going to lose their grip. They ain’t going to be nothing. They ain’t going to be a footnote in this industry.’ I’ve seen us rise from the ashes and shut the doubters up. And I love being a part of that. That’s another thing that drives me. I love proving people wrong. I love it.”

Swann has been with the company since 2018, after rebuilding himself following his WWE exit. He went on to become IMPACT World Champion in 2020 and later headlined Rebellion 2021 in a title vs. title match against Kenny Omega.

So this is not just TNA keeping another name around. This is one of the company’s former world champions choosing to stay at a time when TNA is trying to rebuild its momentum and prove people wrong again.

Rich Swann went from a loose per-appearance setup to recommitting to TNA, and judging by his comments, he is not treating this like just another stop. He believes the company is hot again, and he wants to help keep it that way.
