Tonight’s WWE NXT airing September 1, 2026, promises an action-packed night live from the Capitol Wrestling Center (WWE Performance Center) in Orlando, Florida. The show opens up with a video package recapping this past weekend’s WWE NXT Heatwave PLE.
Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then welcomes us to NXT as we see the pre-show arrivals of new WWE NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan and Shiloh Hill.
Zilla Fatu’s music then hits and he makes his way down to the ring. Fatu then grabs a mic and starts off by greeting the NXT Universe. Fatu then says he was hoping he would be standing in front of fans as the new NXT Champion. Fatu then says however things didn’t go his way. Fatu then says he did not get the job done. Fatu then says it’s not only a matter of winning, but holding the NXT Championship as well.
Tristan Angels’ music then hits and he makes his way out to interrupt Fatu. Angels says the NXT Universe would be bored of Fatu eventually. Angels then reminds Fatu that he lost at NXT Heatwave and he is not ready. Angels then says he doesn’t think Fatu is the main one in his own Bloodline family. Angels then says he doesn’t think Fatu looks like a champion. Angels then says he doesn’t think Fatu carries himself like a champion. Angels then enters the ring. Fatu then says he likes Angels’ accent, but not his attitude. Angels then threatens to beat Fatu’s a**.
Angels then says he won’t mind handing Fatu his second loss. Angels then goes after Zilla Fatu, but Fatu sends Angels packing. We then see Robert Stone looking at the monitor, saying he will make this match official for later tonight.
We then see EK Prosper and Saquon Shugars ask Robert Stone for a shot at Grayson Waller’s NXT Championship. Robert Stone then admits they are both coming off great performances and it’s time to get to the next level. Stone then says he needs to figure out a few things. Keanu Carver then walks up to Robert Stone and says he also deserves a shot at Grayson Waller’s title. He then asks, “What are you going to do?”
Naraku then cuts a promo on Shiloh Hill.
Shiloh Hill then makes his way down to the ring for the first math of the night and Naraku follows.
Singles Match: Naraku vs. WWE LFG season two winner “Mr. NXT” Shiloh Hill
The match starts off with Shiloh Hill going after Naraku. Hill then slams Naraku down to the canvas and applies a waist lock. Naraku then fights out of it and hits a series of chops. Naraku then hits a shoulder tackle. Hill then fights back and hits a shoulder block. Hill then hits body shots. Hill then drives his shoulder into the midsection of Naraku. Naraku then sends Hill to the floor. The fight then spills to the outside. Naraku then clears the announce desk. Hill then heads to the top rope and hits a big flying clothesline. Hill then drives his shoulder into the midsection of Naraku. Hill then sends himself into the post and Naraku has regained control.
Naraku then hits Hill with a neckbreaker for a near fall. He then follows it up with a clothesline. Naraku then applies a crossface in the middle of the ring. Naraku then hits Hill with a fisherman’s suplex for another near fall. He then follows it up with a clothesline. Naraku then applies a chin lock. Hill then tries to fight back, but he runs into a thunderous chop. Naraku then sends Hill face-first into the mat for a near fall. Naraku then drives his elbow against Hill and he follows it up with a series of chops. Hill then fights back and he hits a big boot to Naraku. Hill then slams Naraku to the mat and he follows it up with a cannonball for a near fall.
Naraku then hoists Hill up and hits him with a sit-down powerbomb for a two count. Both men then trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Hill then runs into a big boot. Both men then run into each other and they hit a double clothesline. Both men are then down and out. Naraku then sprays some poison mist into his hand and he pokes Hill in the eye behind the referee’s back. Naraku then blindsides Hill and hits a Enter The Abyss for the win.

We then see what transpired earlier today when Sean Legacy and DVD as well as Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno talked themselves into a tag team match.
Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux follow.
Tag Team Match: Romeo Moreno and “Supernova 11” Noam Dar vs. “Super” Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux
The match starts off with Romeo Moreno and Sean Legacy and they are going back and forth. Legacy then hits Moreno with a dropkick. Noam Dar and Dorian Van Dux are now the legal men. Dar then hits several high knee strikes. Van Dux then clotheslines Dar. Legacy then enters the fray and he targets Dar’s midsection. Legacy then slams Dar down to the canvas. Van Dux then hits a leg drop. Dar then tries to fight back and tags Moreno in. He then manhandles Van Dux. Van Dux then uses Legacy as a weapon to take out Dar and Moreno. Dar then applies an ankle lock to Legacy. The fight then spills to the outside.
Moreno then launches himself over the top rope, but Van Dux hits him with a backbreaker. Legacy then drops Moreno on the apron. Legacy then continues the beatdown on Dar. Legacy then hits a standing moonsault for a near fall. Van Dux is now the legal man. He then goes for a delayed vertical suplex and hands Dar over to Legacy. Legacy then showcases super strength and hits Dar with a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall. Moreno then superkicks Legacy and he follows it up with a dropkick. Moreno and Dar are back in control. Dar then hits a cheap shot to Van Dux. He and Moreno then hits Legacy with a double suplex for a near fall.
Moreno then heads to the top rope and goes for a moonsault, but Legacy moves out of harm’s way and tags Van Dux in. Van Dux then tosses Dar across the ring. He then hits a moonsault on Moreno, but Dar breaks the fall. Van Dux and Moreno are then trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Legacy then hits a big boot to Dar and they are going back and forth. Dar then applies an armbar to Legacy. Moreno and Van Dux are now battling it out on the top rope. Moreno then hits Van Dux with a superplex and all four men are down and out. Legacy then hits Dar with a suicide dive. Moreno then launches himself over the top rope, wiping out Legacy. Van Dux then hits a moonsault, taking out his partner as well.
Back in the ring, Dar and Moreno hit a double stomp on Van Dux for a near fall. Dar then accidentally takes out Moreno. Van Dux then slams Dar down to the mat. Van Dux then hits a Frog Splash. Legacy then makes a blind tag and goes for a 450, but Dar gets his knees up and pins Legacy for the win.

After the match, The Creed Brothers lay waste to Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno. They then hit Moreno with a Brutus Ball Powerbomb and put the entire locker room on notice.
We then head to the back, where Robert Stone asks ZARIA, “Which championship are you going to choose?” ZARIA says everyone knows who the last person was to hold both of these titles. ZARIA then says Sol Ruca is gone now and so is the Women’s Speed Title. ZARIA then hands over the Women’s Speed Championship to Robert Stone.
We then see Robert Stone turn his attention to Lexis King and he informs King that his Men’s Speed Championship has become defunct as well. Charlie Dempsey then asks Robert Stone, “Why are you not taking us seriously?” Lexis King then hands over the title to Robert Stone. He then says the NXT General Manager can never take the Birthright away from them. Charlie Dempsey then says he wants power back in their hands. Lexis King then says he knows what they need to do.
Cruz Montana then walks up to Robert Stone and says the NXT General Manager is a busy man. He then talks about his NXT Heatwave loss. Montana then says he’s not here to complain like everybody else. Montana then says he wants a shot at Grayson Waller’s title. Robert Stone then says Grayson Waller is going to address everyone. Keanu Carver then walks up to Robert Stone and says he told him that everyone wants Grayson Waller. He then says it sucks to be the NXT General Manager now.
We then see Kelani Jordan in the backstage area.
New WWE NXT Women’s Champion Kelani Jordan then makes her way down to the ring. Jordan then grabs a mic and starts off by saying she told everyone for months what was going to happen. Jordan then calls herself One Shot Lani. Jordan then says she was the most disrespected and overlooked athlete. Jordan then gloats about becoming the new WWE NXT Women’s Champion. Jordan then says she doesn’t need “You deserve it” chants because she earned it. Jordan then admits she had a great match with Kendal Grey. Jordan then says she is glad people are not talking about how good Grey is because they are talking about how great she has always been.
Jordan then mocks Grey for revolutionizing women’s wrestling. Jordan then says Grey was over in her head when she slammed her face right into the turnbuckle. Jordan then says Grey is in the hospital dealing with Vertigo. Jordan then says she knows Wren Sinclair will take care of Grey like a sidekick. Jordan then says she will give Grey her rematch whenever she’s medically cleared. Jordan then talks about her impressive championship resume. Jordan then says she won every single title on her first attempt. Jordan then says no one is going to take her title off her.
Jaida Parker then emerges as Jordan’s first challenger. Parker then admits Jordan earned the NXT Women’s Championship. Parker then says she overcame the biggest thorn in her side and tapped Nattie out. Parker then stakes her claim on Jordan’s NXT Women’s Championship. Parker then recalls beating Jordan before. Parker then says she got her gear in the back and offers to run it back with Jordan. Jordan then says she thinks all Parker does is talk and she is three levels below her. Jordan then says she is a fighting champion, but she won’t be defending her title tonight. Jordan then says she will see Parker next week and walks off.
Thea Hail then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Nikkita Lyons follows.
Non-Title Match: WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons vs. Thea Hail
The match starts off with Thea Hail pounding away at Nikkita Lyons. Hail then hits a series of elbow drops and stomps on Lyons’ arm. Lyons then tries to fight back and she tosses Hail on the apron. Hail then hits a kick. Lyons then tosses Hail across the ring. Lyons then corners Hail and tries to choke her out with her leg. Lyons is now unloading on Hail. Lyons then applies a Sleeper Hold in the middle of the ring. Hail then overpowers Lyons. Hail then hits a headbutt and she follows it up with a stomp. Hail then tosses Lyons across the ring and hits a blockbuster for a near fall.
Lyons then hits a German Suplex to Hail and she follows it up with a right hand to the jaw for a near fall. Hail then applies a Kimura Lock, but Lyons fights out of it. Lyons then hits Hail with a suplex. Lyons then heads to the top rope, but misses a splash. Hail then hits a Hail Mary for the win.

Vic Joseph then announces that Kendal Grey will be out of action for the foreseeable future due to her injury.
Mason Rook then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Kam Hendrix follows.
Singles Match: Mason Rook vs. “Showtime” Kam Hendrix
The match starts off with Mason Rook attacking Kam Hendrix on the entrance stage. Rook then sends Hendrix to the ring. Rook then clotheslines Hendrix. Rook then slams Hendrix down and hits him with a Senton. Hendrix then drives Rook to the floor. Hendrix then sends Rook into the steel steps. Back in the ring, Hendrix hits an elbow drop. Hendrix and Rook are then going back and forth. Hendrix then looks to bodyslam Rook, but fails. Hendrix then hits a forearm to Rook for a near fall.
Hendrix then continues the beatdown on Rook. Rook then steamrolls Hendrix. Rook then follows it up with a series of clotheslines. He then hits a sit-down powerbomb for a near fall. Rook then runs into a Showtime Kick. Hendrix then exposes the turnbuckle. Rook then ambushes him from behind and hits a back body drop. Rook then hoists Hendrix up and hits another sit-down style powerbomb for the win.

We then head to Sarah Schreiber in the backstage area and she is with Tavion Heights. Heights says he is running through a wave of emotions right now. Heights then says he is upset about losing the Tag Team Titles, but feels he was betrayed. Heights then says he is confused. Heights then says he doesn’t get what Myles Borne is trying to say. Heights then says he was never going to backstab his best friend. The Vanity Project then interrupts Tavion Heights. Jackson Drake says Tavion Heights wouldn’t have touched the gold if it wasn’t for Myles Borne. Tavion Heights then stakes his claim on the NXT North American Championship. Jackson Drake then says he will go talk to Robert Stone.
Tristan Angels is then waiting for Zilla Fatu in the ring for the main event of the night and Zilla Fatu makes his way down to the ring.
Singles Match: “Mr. England” Tristan Angels vs. Zilla Fatu
The match starts off with both men locking up. Tristan Angels then hits a series of right hands and chops. Zilla Fatu then runs into an elbow. Angels is now in control of the match. Fatu then headbutts Angels and chops him down. Fatu then hits a splash on Angels in the corner and follows it up with a big back body drop. Fatu then hits a chop to the back of Angels. Angels then sends Fatu throat-first into the middle rope. He then follows it up with a kick. Angels then continues the beatdown on Fatu. He then hits a big uppercut. Fatu then sends Angels over the top rope and to the floor and sends him over the announce desk.
Back in the ring, Angels hits Fatu with a kick to the jaw, sending him to the floor. Fatu is then shown bleeding from the mouth. The referee is then checking in on him at ringside. The match then seems to have been stopped for a while. Fatu then fights back and sends Angels face-first into the steel steps. Angels then sends Fatu into the post. Back in the ring, Angels hits a snap suplex to Fatu. Fatu then fights back and hits a headbutt. Angels then sends Fatu to the floor again. Back in the ring, Angels applies a Sleeper Hold in the middle of the ring. Fatu is then gasping for air, but Angels isn’t letting him go. Fatu then overpowers Angels and creates some separation.
Fatu and Angels are then trading strikes in the middle of the ring. Fatu then runs into a big boot. Fatu then sends Angels to every single turnbuckle. Fatu then hits a clothesline and follows it up with a Senton and a Uranage for a near fall. Fatu then misses a hip attack, allowing Angels to hit him with a backstabber for a near fall. Both men are then battling it out on the top rope. Fatu then denies the superplex. Fatu then superkicks Angels and he follows it up with a Samoan Drop. Fatu then hits a Triple Z for the win.

After the match, BirthRight rains on Zilla Fatu’s parade. Uriah Connors then welcomes Fatu to NXT. He then says Zilla Fatu is just like them. Charlie Dempsey then says Zilla Fatu is destined for greatness because of his lineage. He then says nobody takes them seriously. Charlie Dempsey then offers Zilla Fatu to join BirthRight. He then says they can run this place together. He then says Zilla Fatu can run straight into The Bloodline, but he will be at the bottom of the battle there because he has to go through names like Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, just to name a few. Lexis King then promises to treat Zilla Fatu like family. He then says Zilla Fatu has a target on his back. He then says they will make it go away. Zilla Fatu then grabs the microphone and says, “Hello!” He then turns down the offer and superkicks Lexis King.
NXT General Manager Robert Stone then introduces new WWE NXT Champion Grayson Waller and Waller makes his way down to the ring. Waller then grabs the mic and starts off by asking if the WWE Universe if they were expecting someone else to win this past Sunday. Waller then calls Vic Joseph a dork. Waller then says he has main-evented RAW and SmackDown. Waller then says he has wrestled Hall of Famers and won a title at WrestleMania, but winning the NXT Championship at Heatwave means more than that. Waller then says he wants to thank the people who got him here. Waller then says there’s only one person and that’s him. Waller then says he took the risk and came back here to win the NXT Championship.
Waller then gloats about beating Zilla Fatu. Waller then says he forced the world to listen and now they can’t ignore him. Waller then says he’s been getting calls from people who didn’t use to take his calls. Waller then says he told Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce that he will get back to them when he’s ready. Waller then says this is just the beginning of the redemption season and he wants to be a fighting champion. Waller then wonders if Zilla Fatu is next in line for a title shot. He then asks, “What about Cruz Montana?” Waller then removes his jacket to show off a merchandise dedicated to Cruz Montana.
Waller then says he doesn’t think Cruz Montana is tough. Waller then admits Cruz Montana is good, but he’s TNA-good. Waller then asks about Tony D’Angelo’s whereabouts. Waller then asks someone to step up and do something about it. Saquon Shugars then accepts the challenge. Shugars says Waller found the answer to his question. He then talks about rattling the cages. He then gloats about beating Dion Lennox inside the Steel Cage.
Montana’s music then hits and he makes his way out. Montana asks the live crowd what’s good, then says Shugars may not be ready but he is. He then says Waller didn’t beat him three weeks ago or at Heatwave, but EK Prosper’s music hits and he makes his way out. He then says he’s in the building and tells Montana that he’s had his NXT Championship shot. He then says he’s been turning heads in NXt each week, but Mason Rook’s music cuts off Prosper and says it’s time to see how Waller is throwing a tank at his head.
D’Angelo’s music then hits and he makes his way out. He says no one in the ring has a claim to the NXT Championship and says Waller never had it in him to face him one-on-one. Stone then tries intervening, but Keanu Carver’s music hits and he makes his way out. He then suggests a Six-Man Tag Team Match next week including himself, with the winning team subsequently squaring off against one another in a Triple Threat #1 Contender’s Match. Waller then slides out of the ring as everyone else begins brawling with one another and the show comes to a close.
