Ric Flair didn’t need a long statement to let everyone know how much Scarlett Guillen meant to him.

After the heartbreaking news of Scarlett’s passing spread through the wrestling world, the WWE Hall of Famer took to Twitter and shared personal photos of himself, Scarlett, and Charlotte Flair on Twitter. One of the pictures showed Scarlett dressed up as Charlotte, and it was clear Ric wasn’t just reacting to a news story. He was mourning someone who had become part of the Flair family’s life.

“I’m So Sad To Hear About The Loss Of Scarlett! She Fought A Tough Battle With Cancer, And Throughout It, Her Strength & Bravery Never Wavered. She Was A Light Of Pure Joy. The World Lost A Beautiful Soul, But Heaven Gained An Angel! She Will Live On In Our Hearts & Memory Forever. Rest In Peace Scarlett! 🙏🏻”

Ric’s message came not long after Charlotte Flair shared her own emotional tribute to the eight-year-old, explaining that what started as her trying to make a young fan smile ended up changing her own outlook on life.

“At a time when I was feeling sorry for myself, you gave me something so much greater than I could have ever given you. You gave me perspective. You taught me courage, gratitude, joy, and how precious every single moment truly is. Those lessons will stay with me for the rest of my life.”

Their connection wasn’t something WWE created for television. Charlotte proudly wore entrance gear designed by Scarlett at Survivor Series: WarGames 2025, then honored her again by dedicating her WrestleMania 42 gear to Scarlett and the fight she never stopped fighting.

As those tributes were pouring in, fans started showing up for Scarlett’s family too. Her GoFundMe quickly climbed past $63,000, with NBA star Tyrese Haliburton contributing $10,000 and Charlotte, using her real name Ashley Fliehr, donating another $8,000 to help with funeral and memorial expenses.

Scarlett’s family announced that she had passed away following her battle with Diffuse Midline Glioma, a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer. They remembered their daughter as the kind of little girl who could change the mood of an entire room just by walking into it.

The fundraiser is helping Scarlett’s family give her the farewell they always wanted for her, but the response has become about much more than money. Between Charlotte’s tribute, Ric’s message, and thousands of fans rallying behind the family, it’s clear Scarlett left a mark that reached far beyond wrestling.
