Tessa Blanchard is out of TNA Wrestling, and now Al Snow thinks WWE should be paying attention to her.

While speaking to LTB&H, Snow said he would not be surprised to see Blanchard land in WWE, especially with WWE now getting deeper into Mexico through AAA. In his mind, if Blanchard keeps building herself up in CMLL, WWE could eventually see real value in bringing her into the fold, as he pushed for WWE to sign her.

“I will not be a bit surprised to see her in WWE. With WWE now putting its tendrils down into Mexico and AAA, it would make sense that depending on what she does at CMLL and how much she utilizes that platform to make herself a draw in Mexico, that at some point in time WWE goes, ‘Hey, why don’t you come here? We want to use you in AAA and here as well and really capitalize on your talent and give you worldwide exposure, like we talked about—the number one best platform to do it.’ So they should hire her.”

That is a pretty direct endorsement from Snow, and the timing is interesting because Blanchard’s TNA exit already seemed tied to her CMLL situation. According to Fightful Select, CMLL was booking Blanchard more often and paying her more than TNA, which made her future outside TNA look a lot clearer: “CMLL books Tessa Blanchard more, and paid more based on what sources claimed.”

It was also reported that Blanchard preferred how she was being used creatively in CMLL, which matters just as much as the money. More bookings, better pay, and a creative direction she actually liked gave CMLL a clear edge while TNA still had her under contract: “We’re told that Blanchard also preferred how she was used in CMLL creatively.”

There was also a business wrinkle in play. CMLL has become stricter about talent promoting rival brands, even if those wrestlers are not officially under contract. That made Blanchard’s situation with TNA even more complicated, especially since she was only halfway through a three-year deal when TNA let her out.

“CMLL sources we spoke to said the company is getting very particular of their talent – even non-contracted – promoting ‘competing brands.’ Sources familiar to the situation claimed that Blanchard was under a three year deal with TNA, so they ended up letting her out about halfway through the contract.”

Bottom line, Blanchard’s TNA exit may have opened the door for her to focus on CMLL, but Al Snow thinks WWE should not ignore what she could bring to the table. With WWE and AAA strengthening their Mexico connection, Snow clearly sees a path where Blanchard’s CMLL run could make her an even more attractive name for WWE down the road.
