We then take a look back at Grayson Waller’s comments from last week’s NXT and Cruz Montana’s confrontation with NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo.
Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then welcomes us to the show as we see the pre-show arrivals of Lola Vice, Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey.
Jaida Parker then makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Thea Hail follows. Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic then make their way down to the ring with Nattie.
Tag Team Match: Jaida Parker and Thea Hail vs. WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic
The match starts off with Jaida Parker and Karmen Petrovic and both women lock up. Petrovic then applies a side headlock. Parker then hits a shoulder tackle. Thea Hail is now the legal woman and she hits a bodyslam. Petrovic then fights back and she hits a kick before tagging Nikkita Lyons in. Hail and Parker then hit a clothesline to Petrovic and Lyons and they follow it up with a suicide dive. Parker then a misses hip-notic, sending herself into the steel steps. Nattie then jumps on Hail from behind. Back in the ring, Lyons then hits Hail with a Plunge for a near fall.
Lyons then continues the beatdown on Hail and Petrovic enters the fray. Hail then tries to fight back, but Petrovic sends her into her corner. Lyons then hits a series of strikes. Hail then tries to create separation, but Lyons grabs her foot. Lyons then hits a clothesline. Parker then comes in and she hits Lyons and Petrovic with a double clothesline. Parker then hits a hurricanrana Lyons. Parker then hits an elbow to Petrovic. Parker then hits a thunderous chop on Petrovic. Nattie then causes a distraction, allowing Petrovic and Lyons to regain control but Hail saves the match.
The fight spills then to the outside. Back in the ring, Parker hits a Hip-notic to Nattie. Parker then hits a series of chops to Lyons and she follows it up with a Hip-notic. Hail then hits a final blow for the win.

After the match, Nattie launches a three-on-two attack on the babyfaces with Lyons and Petrovic. Nattie then accidentally takes out Lyons, allowing Hail to hits a headbutt. Parker then sends Petrovic packing. The babyfaces then fend off the heels and stand tall.
We then see Myles Borne in the backstage area. Tavion Heights asks him if he’s ready since it’s the biggest match of his career. Borne says he’s locked in and will go all out tonight. Heights then says he doesn’t know what he will do if he doesn’t win the match. Borne then tells him not to worry about it and to relax.
We then see Tony D’Angelo in the backstage area.
A recap of Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell Match from SummerSlam is then shown and we see Lesnar confirm his retirement via the Pat McAfee Show earlier tonight.
WWE NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo then makes his way down to the ring. D’Angelo recalls Grayson Waller disrespecting the NXT brand last week. D’Angelo then says Waller is delusional if he thinks he is going to win his NXT Championship to get back to the main roster. D’Angelo then says Waller is old news. D’Angelo then shifts his focus to Cruz Montana. D’Angelo says Montana made things very clear. D’Angelo then calls Montana out, but Waller cuts him off. Waller says he’s bored already. Waller says he’s been the talk of the wrestling world lately. Waller then says D’Angelo will go through him.
D’Angelo then asks Waller to come to the ring so they can talk face-to-face. D’Angelo then calls Waller a b****. D’Angelo then recalls teaming up with Waller in WarGames. D’Angelo then mocks Waller for not winning any title since then. D’Angelo then says Waller came back to NXT to become relevant again. Waller then says he knows D’Angelo lost his family, but he didn’t know D’Angelo lost his balls too. Cruz Montana then shows up and he admits Waller rattled some cages last week. Montana then says he’s the man that he says he is. Montana then says Waller got a chip on his shoulder. Montana then says he’s got one too because he’s got no other option.
Montana then says the difference between the two of them is that he spent years proving he belongs here. Montana then says Waller spent years trying to prove to others that they should notice him. Waller then wonders why does Montana care about the people. Waller then says how many times are you going to tell the same stories. Waller then says he has embraced his demons. Montana then tells Waller he only fights for himself. Montana then says it won’t get him nowhere. Montana then says when you have people depend on you, people you have to feed and people who hold you accountable, that is what you need to do. D’Angelo then says he doesn’t care what their motivations are. D’Angelo then tells them to talk to Robert Stone to set up a #1 Contender’s Match and the winner will face him at Heatwave.
We then take a look at the history between Lola Vice and Kendal Grey.
We then see Wren Sinclair and she says there is more at stake than her title match. Sinclair then says Kendal Grey has her match and she feels they are over their heads. Grey then says they want the pressure. Grey then tells Sinclair they have it.
ZARIA then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Wren Sinclair follows.
