We then take a look back at Grayson Waller’s comments from last week’s NXT and Cruz Montana’s confrontation with NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo.
Vic Joseph and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T then welcomes us to the show as we see the pre-show arrivals of Lola Vice, Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey.
Jaida Parker then makes her way down to the ring for the first match of the night and Thea Hail follows. Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic then make their way down to the ring with Nattie.
Tag Team Match: Jaida Parker and Thea Hail vs. WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic
The match starts off with Jaida Parker and Karmen Petrovic and both women lock up. Petrovic then applies a side headlock. Parker then hits a shoulder tackle. Thea Hail is now the legal woman and she hits a bodyslam. Petrovic then fights back and she hits a kick before tagging Nikkita Lyons in. Hail and Parker then hit a clothesline to Petrovic and Lyons and they follow it up with a suicide dive. Parker then a misses hip-notic, sending herself into the steel steps. Nattie then jumps on Hail from behind. Back in the ring, Lyons then hits Hail with a Plunge for a near fall.
Lyons then continues the beatdown on Hail and Petrovic enters the fray. Hail then tries to fight back, but Petrovic sends her into her corner. Lyons then hits a series of strikes. Hail then tries to create separation, but Lyons grabs her foot. Lyons then hits a clothesline. Parker then comes in and she hits Lyons and Petrovic with a double clothesline. Parker then hits a hurricanrana Lyons. Parker then hits an elbow to Petrovic. Parker then hits a thunderous chop on Petrovic. Nattie then causes a distraction, allowing Petrovic and Lyons to regain control but Hail saves the match.
The fight spills then to the outside. Back in the ring, Parker hits a Hip-notic to Nattie. Parker then hits a series of chops to Lyons and she follows it up with a Hip-notic. Hail then hits a final blow for the win.

After the match, Nattie launches a three-on-two attack on the babyfaces with Lyons and Petrovic. Nattie then accidentally takes out Lyons, allowing Hail to hits a headbutt. Parker then sends Petrovic packing. The babyfaces then fend off the heels and stand tall.
We then see Myles Borne in the backstage area. Tavion Heights asks him if he’s ready since it’s the biggest match of his career. Borne says he’s locked in and will go all out tonight. Heights then says he doesn’t know what he will do if he doesn’t win the match. Borne then tells him not to worry about it and to relax.
We then see Tony D’Angelo in the backstage area.
A recap of Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell Match from SummerSlam is then shown and we see Lesnar confirm his retirement via the Pat McAfee Show earlier tonight.
WWE NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo then makes his way down to the ring. D’Angelo recalls Grayson Waller disrespecting the NXT brand last week. D’Angelo then says Waller is delusional if he thinks he is going to win his NXT Championship to get back to the main roster. D’Angelo then says Waller is old news. D’Angelo then shifts his focus to Cruz Montana. D’Angelo says Montana made things very clear. D’Angelo then calls Montana out, but Waller cuts him off. Waller says he’s bored already. Waller says he’s been the talk of the wrestling world lately. Waller then says D’Angelo will go through him.
D’Angelo then asks Waller to come to the ring so they can talk face-to-face. D’Angelo then calls Waller a b****. D’Angelo then recalls teaming up with Waller in WarGames. D’Angelo then mocks Waller for not winning any title since then. D’Angelo then says Waller came back to NXT to become relevant again. Waller then says he knows D’Angelo lost his family, but he didn’t know D’Angelo lost his balls too. Cruz Montana then shows up and he admits Waller rattled some cages last week. Montana then says he’s the man that he says he is. Montana then says Waller got a chip on his shoulder. Montana then says he’s got one too because he’s got no other option.
Montana then says the difference between the two of them is that he spent years proving he belongs here. Montana then says Waller spent years trying to prove to others that they should notice him. Waller then wonders why does Montana care about the people. Waller then says how many times are you going to tell the same stories. Waller then says he has embraced his demons. Montana then tells Waller he only fights for himself. Montana then says it won’t get him nowhere. Montana then says when you have people depend on you, people you have to feed and people who hold you accountable, that is what you need to do. D’Angelo then says he doesn’t care what their motivations are. D’Angelo then tells them to talk to Robert Stone to set up a #1 Contender’s Match and the winner will face him at Heatwave.
We then take a look at the history between Lola Vice and Kendal Grey.
We then see Wren Sinclair and she says there is more at stake than her title match. Sinclair then says Kendal Grey has her match and she feels they are over their heads. Grey then says they want the pressure. Grey then tells Sinclair they have it.
ZARIA then makes her way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Wren Sinclair follows.
WWE Women’s Speed Championship Match: WrenQCC’s Wren Sinclair (c) vs. WWE NXT Women’s North American Champion ZARIA
The match starts off with ZARIA hoisting Wren Sinclair up, but Sinclair applies a side headlock. ZARIA then hits a big boot, but she misses an elbow. ZARIA then sends Sinclair into the corner and she hits a series of right hands. Sinclair then hits a shoulder tackle. ZARIA then goes for a chokeslam, but Sinclair fights out of it. Sinclair then hits an armdrag takedown and ZARIA runs into an elbow. Sinclair then heads to the top rope, but ZARIA trips her up and sends her into the post.
ZARIA then hits an elbow drop to Sinclair. ZARIA then hits a pump kick. ZARIA then goes for a cover, but Sinclair kicks out. Sinclair then runs into an elbow and she may have hurt her nose. The referee then checks in on her. Both women then trade strikes in the middle of the ring. ZARIA then runs into a dropkick. Sinclair then hits a double underhook butterfly suplex for a near fall. She then heads to the top rope and hits a crossbody. Both women then spill to the outside. The referee then calls for the bell since neither woman could beat the clock.
The WWE Women’s Speed Championship Match ends in a time-limit draw and still the WWE Women’s Speed Champion, WrenQCC’s Wren Sinclair!
After the match, ZARIA punches Sinclair and hits her with an F5.
We then see Lucien Price and Bronco Nima in the locker room. Nima apologizes for last week and says it cost them. Price then says Nima did what he had to do. Nima then says he wants to make sure they are good. BirthRight then shows up and they remind OTM that they are right. They then say OTM is crumbling. Price then challenges King. Connors then says he has to go through a tournament to face King. Price then says he wants a singles match.
We then see Grayson Waller walking up to Kelani Jordan. Jordan says Waller was right about the 10% of women ready for the main roster. Jordan then says Waller had plenty of chances at the NXT Championship, while she is still waiting for her first. Jordan then says she promises to win the NXT Women’s Title on her very first attempt. Mason Rook then walks up to Waller and puts him on notice. Kam Hendrix then ambushes Rook as the brawl is underway.
The Vanity Project then make their way down to the ring for the next match of the night and Tavion Heights and Myles Born follow.
WWE NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) (c) vs. WWE NXT North American Champion Myles Borne and Tavion Heights
The match starts off with Tavion Heights and Ricky Smokes and Heights hits a shoulder tackle. Height then sends Smokes into the canvas and he follows it up with a powerslam for a near fall. Myles Borne is now the legal man and he hits Smokes with an Angle Slam. Borne then hits a clothesline. Brad Baylor then tries to interfere, but he runs into a standing dropkick. Borne then sends Baylor into the corner with authority. Heights then runs into a jumping knee from Baylor. The Vanity Project then regains control.
Heights then tosses Smokes across the ring and throws Baylor before tagging Borne in. Borne then hits an elbow to Baylor and a Spinebuster to Smokes. Jackson Drake then helps Smokes, allowing him to regain control. Smokes then pounds away at Borne. The Vanity Project then continues the beatdown on Borne. Baylor then hits a big right hand and Borne is struggling to get back to his feet. Smokes then hits a knee to Borne. Baylor and Borne are now exchanging strikes in the middle of the ring.
Heights then comes in and he hits an overhead belly-to-belly to Smokes. Heights then hits a clothesline for a near fall. Borne then hits a standing dropkick. Heights then follows it up with a sit-down powerbomb and Baylor saves the match. Smokes then hits a Meteora on Borne. Borne then hits a powerslam on Baylor. The Vanity Project then hit a double knee. Borne and Heights then hit The Vanity Project with a powerslam. The referee then ejects Drake from the ring. The distraction then allows Borne to hit a Borne Again to Smokes. Borne then sends Baylor over the top rope and to the floor. Heights then hits Smokes with a Height of Glory for the win.

After the match, Drake is pissed and Myka Lockwood and Keanu Carver pause to stare at each other.
We then see The Culling confronting Lizzy Rain. Izzi Dame says the result would have been different if it weren’t for Shawn Spears. Spears then walks up to them and says Robert Stone booked a mixed tag team match for next week. Rain then says she doesn’t trust Spears and if things go sideways, it will be three on one. Spears then calls Rain a smart girl.
Keanu Carver then makes his way down to the ring for the next match of the night and EK Prosper follows.
Singles Match: Keanu Carver vs. EK Prosper
The match starts off with both men locking up. Keanu Carver then overpowers EK Prosper and tosses him across the ring. Carver then runs into a big boot. Prosper then hits a knee and he follows it up with a moonsault off the second rope. Prosper then hits Carver with a big dropkick. Carver then does the same. Prosper then sends Carver outside. The fight then spills to the outside. Prosper then hits a double stomp to the spine of Carver. Back in the ring, Prosper hits a crossbody for a near fall. Carver then sends Prosper spine-first into the corner and he follows it up with a powerslam for a near fall.
Carver then hits a snap suplex on Prosper and he follows it up with a backbreaker. Carver then hits Prosper with a clothesline. Carver then applies a rear chin lock. Carver then hits an Irish whip to Prosper and he is now in complete control. Prosper then tries to fight back, but Carver targets his midsection. Prosper then hits a series of jabs and a superkick. Prosper then hits a moonsault and he follows it up with a DDT for a near fall. Prosper then heads to the top rope and he hits a Blockbuster Swanton-style. Prosper then hits a jumping enziguiri. Both men then trade strikes in the middle of the ring. Carver then hits a German Suplex.
Carver then hits Prosper with a Powerbomb for a near fall. Prosper then hits another standing dropkick. Prosper then hits a Shining Wizard. Prosper then heads to the top rope and he hits a moonsault, but Carver gets his knees up. Carver then gets a small package for the win.

We then see Cutler James and Osiris Griffin talk with Dion Lennox about getting another shot at Saquon Shugars. Dion says he was put through a wall. He then says do you call that a win. Dion then says he wants them to be untouchable. Dion then says you are content beating a team put together a week before the match and Saquon is still out there. Dion then says are you happy being called soft and complacent. Dion then says if so what are we doing here. Dion then says next week they make sure Saquon doesn’t walk away from them.
We then see Shiloh Hill and he says he fractured part of his skull and will be out of action for a while. Hill then talks about Kam Hendrix’s comments about is injury.
We then get a video package paying tribute to Dory Funk Jr., who passed away at age 85.
We then see Robert Stone talking to a free agent on the phone. Cruz Montana then walks up to the NXT General Manager. Stone then makes Grayson Waller vs. Cruz Montana official for next week. Tristan Angels then shows up and says he doesn’t think Montana has earned an opportunity for the NXT Championship. Montana then talks about the work he put in last year. Montana then says Angels is the rookie here, not him.
It is then announced that next week Cruz Montana will face Grayson Waller in a WWE NXT Championship #1 Contender’s Match, ZARIA faces Wren Sinclair for the NXT Women’s North American Title, Shawn Spears and Lizzy Rain face Izzi Dame and Niko Vance and Saquon Shugars faces Dion Lennox.
The ring is now ready for the NXT Underground Match and the trainees make their way around the ring.
Lola Vice then makes her way down to the ring for the main event of the night and Kendal Grey follows.

The match starts off with both women exchanging kicks. Kendal Grey and Lola Vice then attempt their respective submissions. Vice then slams Grey down and pounds away at her. The fight then spills to the outside. Grey then hits a hurricanrana. Vice then applies a guillotine. Grey then sends Vice into the steel steps. Vice then sends Grey face-first into the steel steps. The referee is then checking in on her. Grey is now bleeding from her ear and she receives medical help at ringside.
Grey then gets a takedown. Vice then takes Grey out with a kick and she targets Grey’s midsection. Vice then hits a back suplex to Grey and she continues to apply the pressure. Grey then hits a kick and she follows it up with a German Suplex. Grey then tosses Vice across the ring. Grey then hits a German Suplex. Grey then collapses. Vice then sends Grey outside the ring. Back in the ring, Vice hits a kick. Grey then applies an Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring. Vice then applies an Ankle Lock of her own.
Both women then trade strikes and they are going back and forth. Vice then throws some body shots. Vice then throws a backfist. Grey then hits a reverse elbow and both women are down. Vice then applies a Sleeper Hold. Grey then applies an armbar. Vice then hits a right hand. Grey then runs into an elbow. Vice then takes out the official with a spinning backfist. Vice then applies a Sleeper Hold on Grey. Grey then hits a superkick. Vice then hits a spinning heel kick and she pounds away at Grey. Grey then applies an armbar and Vice taps out.

After the match, both women hug and Grey raises Vice’s arm as a show of respect to her and the show comes to a close.
