The story surrounding the frightening incident involving Krule at a Ruthless Pro Wrestling show has taken a major turn after police officially confirmed that no stabbing ever happened.
For weeks, early reports described the March 28 incident at the Berwyn Eagles Club in Illinois as a stabbing, sparking concern across the wrestling community. Now, an official investigation by the Berwyn Police Department has cleared up the confusion and confirmed the situation was not what many initially believed.
The update came after an incident report was released following a Freedom of Information request, which showed that detectives investigated the altercation and found no evidence that a stabbing occurred during the show.
According to the report via POST Wrestling, the fan involved had already been warned earlier in the night for disruptive behavior and was said to be intoxicated. Management claimed the situation escalated after the event ended, when the fan approached Krule at his merchandise table and physical contact followed. The promotion’s management explained to investigators that the situation turned physical when the fan attacked the wrestler, prompting others to step in and remove him from the venue.
“The fan ended up attacking his wrestler and tackled him to the ground. The fan continued to punch the wrestler several times. Then the rest of the wrestlers/employees came in to help and got the fan off of him and escorted the fan out of the business.”
That account differed slightly from video footage circulating online, which showed Krule throwing punches before the fan tackled him across another set of tables. Still, investigators focused on whether any weapon had been involved — and determined that no stabbing took place. The report also included a direct statement from management confirming that Krule was never stabbed during the altercation.
“[Redacted] was not stabbed.”
Detectives also contacted Krule directly while he was traveling home, and his version of events aligned with the idea that the situation was a physical altercation but not a stabbing. He described the fan causing problems throughout the night before attacking him at the end of the show.
“Some guy was causing problems all night and came up to him at the end of the night and struck him several times and tackled him to the ground. His peers then got the fan off of him and took matters into their own hands.”
The Berwyn Police Department has since closed the case, confirming that no stabbing occurred and noting that Krule did not wish to pursue criminal charges related to the incident.
This update significantly changes the narrative that spread online in the hours after the incident, when rumors of a stabbing caused widespread alarm. With law enforcement now confirming that no weapon was involved, the focus has shifted toward understanding how the early reports escalated so quickly.
