Alexa Bliss may not be headed to SummerSlam after all.
During a recent Q&A session, WrestleVotes was asked whether Bliss is expected to compete in the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match. According to JoeyVotes, her name hasn’t come up in WWE’s creative plans for the event.
“She’s not planned for the match. For whatever reason. I haven’t heard her name included in SummerSlam plans.”
While JoeyVotes didn’t offer a specific explanation, TC pointed to the arm injury Bliss has been dealing with as a possible reason she’s currently off the card.
“She’s got the elbow. So that might be part of why she’s not part of SummerSlam.”
The update comes just a week after Bliss showed up on social media wearing her arm in a sling following Jade Cargill’s brutal attack on SmackDown. After defeating Bliss, Cargill trapped her arm inside a steel chair and repeatedly drove the chair into the mat while Charlotte Flair was forced to watch from ringside.
Bliss later shared photos revealing heavy bruising before posting another update showing her arm secured in a sling, leading to speculation over whether the injury was purely part of WWE’s storyline or something more legitimate.
Nothing is certain right now, and plans can always change, but for now, Alexa Bliss’ name isn’t being discussed for SummerSlam, with her elbow injury emerging as the most likely reason why.
